Start your bike ride from the picturesque Phong Nha village, travelling through lush jungles and paddy fields, traversing the war sites on the Ho Chi Minh trail before riding along the coastline to make your way to Hue.

Day 1: Explore Phong Nha and Ho Chi Minh trail
After breakfast, start your journey from Phong Nha village and ride to Khe Sanh via the west Ho Chi Minh trail – a favourite stretch of the road among bikers. The Ho Chi Minh trail was a legendary road in Vietnam, from where the Vietcong used to supply to the south during the war.
Travel along the banks of Son river to the top of the national park, which is full of rice paddies, farmland, and local farmers. On this journey, discover the background of Phong Nha Ke Bang national park and the West Ho Chi Minh trail – a remote spot that other tourists usually don’t get to see.
Ride the first 100 km through an old-growth jungle, with amazing waterfalls and beautiful landscapes.
Stop at Van Kieu ethnic hill tribe village to see and understand how these people survive in the most remote place in Vietnam.
Continue driving before stopping at another village for lunch.
After lunch, ride another 100km to the south to the town of Khe Sanh. Continue to follow the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail through the tops of the mountain range and fantastic valleys.
Stop at historic relics of the Vietnam war on the way.
Visit the Khe Sanh compass base before checking in at the hotel.
Upon arrival in the hotel, relax and have a cold beer, toasting to the first fantastic day of adventure.

Day 2: Visit the war sites of Vietnam
The ride towards Hue is mostly from West to East along Highway 9. On this drive, pass famous Vietnamese war sites like Dakrong Bridge, Rock Pile, and the Doc Mieu base.
Visit the Truong Son national cemetery (the biggest cemetery in Vietnam) to pay respects to soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Vietnam war.
After crossing the former border between North and South Vietnam at the 17th parallel, arrive at the Vinh Moc tunnel where villagers dug tunnels to move their village 23 meters underground to survive during the war.
Stop for lunch at Cua Viet beach, followed by a relaxing swim.
Drive along the coastline to arrive in Hue around 4:30 pm.
