Itinerary

1. Day 1: Ha Noi - Bai Tu Long Bay - Kayaking - Vung Vieng Fishing Village

   • 11:45: Arrive in Hon Gai pier and board the cruise.

   • 12:45: Hear the Cruise Manager give a welcome speech with all the information and safety instructions.

   • 13:15: Enjoy lunch with the best products of the Bay.

   • 14:45: Visit the Vung Vieng floating fishing village by kayaking.

   • 15:30 - 16:30: If you want to relax on the boat instead of participating in other activities, feel free to use the sauna at no extra cost.

   • 17:00 - 18:30: Go for Happy Hour "buy one get one free" at the bar.

   • 17:30: Attend a cooking demonstration to discover the secrets of Vietnamese Cuisine.

   • 19:00: Savour a set menu of dinner on board.

   • 21:00: Join the squid fishing activity. Enjoy your free time on the boat. The bar is open late to serve you.

   Overnight at Cong Do Area.

2. Day 2: Cong Dam Area

   • 06:30: Practice one of the oldest traditions of East Asia, Tai Chi, on the open deck.

   • 07:00 - 08:15: Eat breakfast served in the restaurant.

   • 08:30: Transfer to the day boat to start an incredible trip to Ha Long Bay. Surrounded by a breathtaking landscape, you will discover some of the most beautiful corners of the bay. Enjoy Kayaking in the area.

   • Noon: Have lunch on the boat.

   • 15:30 - 16:30: Head back to the Athena Cruise and enjoy some free time. Relax in your cabin or on the Sundeck; treat yourself to a free sauna session.

   • 17:00 - 18:30: Enjoy Happy hour  "Buy one get one free" at the bar.

   • 17:30: Take part in the cooking class and learn some new techniques.

   • 19:00: Enjoy a set menu of dinner on board.

   • 20:30: Appreciate the Squid Fishing activity and enjoy your free time onboard. The bar is open late to serve you.

3. Day 3: Bai Tu Long Bay - Thien Canh Son Cave - Hanoi

   • 06:30: Practice one of the oldest traditions of East Asia: Tai Chi on the open deck.

   • 07:00: The Early Bird Coffee is ready to wake you up.

   • 07:30: Explore Thien Canh Son cave in Ha Long Bay. Witness its beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. (Note: there are about 200 steps to get up to the cave)

   • 09:00: Check out time. Please put your luggage outside the cabin and the key at the reception desk. The staff will transfer your luggage to the lounge for you and settle the bill at the reception desk.

   • 09:30: Savour the brunch served at the restaurant on the 2nd deck.

   • 10:45: Wait for the boat to arrive at the pier. 

4. Day 4: Hanoi - Ha Giang by Limousine Bus

   • Depart at 6:00 AM from your hotel in Hanoi; it takes 7 hours to Ha Giang city.

   • You will be picked up by your Vietnamese guide and proceed to the homestay for lunch and rest.

   Overnight at a homestay based on Private Room.

5. Day 5: Ha Giang - Heaven Gate - Quan Ba pass - yen Minh - Vuong Palace - Dong Van

   • Drive 155 km and walk for around 1 hour to meet Mong people and see their lifestyle.

   • On the way, you have enough time to stop at beautiful places to take a photo or enjoy the landscape.

   • Visit the Heaven Gate, which is 1500m high.

   • In Quan Ba, see the famous twin mountains.

   • After that, have lunch in a small restaurant in Yen Minh. 

   • Drive down Ha Giang and stop 15 km west from Dong Van to visit the Vuong palace, which the Mong people built for their King.

   • Reach Dong Van at 5 pm. Dong Van is a quiet village which is nice to walk around.

   • Stay in a hotel and have dinner. 

6. Day 6: Dong Van - Chinese Border - Flag tower - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Meo Vac

   • After breakfast, visit the flag tower and the Chinese border. 

   • Drive through the Dong Van Geopark. The Ma Pi Leng Pass is considered the “king” of Vietnam passes. On top of this pass, begins the 20 km long happiness road, which is handmade by the local people and has a romantic atmosphere.

   • Arrive at 5 PM and stay in the town of Meo Vac. In Meo Vac, see one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country.

7. Day 7: Meo Vac - Lung phin - Mau Due - Du Gia

   • Drive for 100 km to Mau Due and Du Gia and see a lot of terrace rice fields and local people.

   • Around 1 PM, arrive in Du Gia to have lunch in the family of Tay people.

   • After that, go trekking for 2-3 hours to see villages and beautiful views.

   Overnight with at the homestay.

8. Day 8: Du Gia - Bac me - Ha Giang

   • Here, visit the rice terraces and take a short trekking trip. 

   • Visit the local white Mong family and see a lot of different views.

   • By 03:30 pm, be back in Ha Giang. 

   • You will be dropped off at your homestay in Ha Giang, where you can take a rest. 

   • Later, take a Bus Limousine to come back to Hanoi. 

   • Arrive in Hanoi the same evening at 22:00.
