Hoi An Countryside, Cooking Class and Ancient Town
Start the tour with hotel pick-up at 08:30 am and head to Hội An Ancient Town and the countryside. You can choose to cycle or take a private car to the water coconut forest, which covers 7 hectares.
After arriving, take basket boats and go crab fishing with local fishermen. You will also have the chance to learn how to use simple fishing tools to catch crabs, fish, and more. If you are lucky, you may catch some.
Afterwards, visit a local family to attend a cooking class. You will learn how to prepare local specialities such as Banh Khoai (Vietnamese rice pancakes) and Nem ran (fried spring rolls). It will be a real competition between your group, and in the end, the local Master Chef will decide who is the best cook of the day and award a prize.
After the cooking course, enjoy lunch with the dishes you have just prepared. You can also drink fresh coconut water from the family garden.
After lunch, enjoy a foot massage using local herbal medicines.
Around 1:30 pm, visit Hội An Ancient Town. It was known as the biggest international trading port in Vietnam and, from the 16th century, was one of the greatest ports in the world. Hội An is beautiful, with colourful lanterns, ancient houses, and clubhouses built in Chinese and Japanese architectural styles.
Visit some of the city's highlights, such as:
Japanese covered bridge
Tân Ký ancient house
Phuc Kien ancient clubhouse
Finally, visit the Hội An theatre to enjoy wonderful performances such as plays, dramas, Champa dance, and Bingo games.
End the tour by making lanterns and visiting Hội An market.
