The itinerary

1
Day 01

Arrival and City Tour of Tashkent

  • Arrive in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, and meet your local guide and driver at Tashkent International Airport. Check-in at the hotel begins from 13:00.
  • After taking a rest, start your excursion in the capital city of Tashkent, including both its old and modern parts.
  • Khasti Imam Ensemble (16th-20th centuries): visit the Kaffal Shashi tomb, Barakhan and Muyi Muborak madrasahs (madrasah - a school of Islamic religion), and the Namazgah and Juma mosques. This shrine has a special place in the Islamic world, where the Holy Qur'an manuscript from the 7th century, written by Caliph 'Uthman, is preserved in an almost complete and original form, making it deeply significant for Muslim people.
  • Charsu Bazaar: discover the huge and beautiful domed bazaar of Tashkent in oriental style, and enjoy Uzbek products.
  • Tashkent Underground: enter a magical world underground, where each station is designed as a special work of art. The decoration and artistic architecture of every station symbolically reflect its name.
  • Stations visited include Kosmonavtlar (Astronauts), Alisher Navoiy, Paxtakor, and Mustaqillik Maydoni (Independence Square).
  • Broadway: located in the center of Tashkent, this is a favorite place for the city's youth. While walking through Broadway, come across local artists, street singers, and many other forms of entertainment. Amir Temur Square, the 1st Uzbekistan Hotel, the Palace of Forums, the Twin Clock Towers, and the first gymnasium in Tashkent are observed from outside.
  • It is then time to discover the Amir Temur and Timurids Museum.

After dinner, transfer to the hotel for check-in and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 02

Flight to Urgench and Exploration of Khiva

  • After breakfast, check out of the hotel at 06:30 and transfer to Tashkent local airport.
  • Arrive in Urgench and transfer to Khiva by transport (Urgench-Khiva 30 km).
  • Start your journey through the ancient city known as "A Thousand and One Night," Khiva, an integral part of ancient Khorezm, the homeland of Algebra.
  • Muhammad Amin-Khan Madrasah and Kalta Minor Minaret: the largest madrasah in Khiva was built by Khiva Khan Muhammad Aminkhan. Next to it stands the Kalta Minor Minaret, which attracts everyone with its wonderful colours and appearance.
  • Kunya-Ark Citadel: one of the oldest and most beautiful eye-catching buildings in Khiva is the Khan's Palace, which is divided into four courtyards.
  • Ok Shaykh Baba Terrace: observe the whole beauty of Khiva in panoramic form, with a great chance to take great photos.
  • Friday Mosque: known as one of the first mosques built in Central Asia (10th-18th centuries).

  • The Madrasah and Minaret of Islam Khoja: Islam Khoja was an important prime minister in the history of Khiva, and you will learn more fascinating information about the madrasah and minaret named after him, as well as his contributions to Khiva.

DINNER - at the national Uzbek restaurant.

After dinner, transfer to the hotel for check-in and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03

Train to Bukhara and Introduction to the Old City

  • After breakfast, check out of the hotel and at 08:00 transfer to Khiva railway station.
  • Departure and arrival times: 08:30-13:20.
  • Arrive at Bukhara (Kagan) railway station and transfer to the ancient city of Bukhara-i-Sharif.
  • Lyabi-Khauz Ensemble (16th-17th centuries): visit the Lyabi Havuz pool, Nadir Divan-begi khanakah and madrasah, and Kukaldash madrasah, one of the most well-liked places for local and foreign tourists.

LUNCH - at the national Uzbek restaurant.

  • Ancient oriental domed markets (16th-17th centuries): visit Toqi Sarrafon, the dome of exchanging currency, which was the main mall for currency exchange, and Toqi Telpakfurushon, a domed building for the manufacture and sale of hats.

DINNER - dinner at the national Uzbek restaurant, followed by transfer to the hotel for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 04

Historic Monuments of Bukhara

  • Continue your excursion in the city of Bukhara.
  • Visit the Samanidis Mausoleum (9th-10th centuries).
  • Chasmai Ayub Mausoleum (12th-16th centuries): the Prophet Ayub is well known in several religions.
  • Bukhara Bazaar: Bukhara, like other cities, has many markets.
  • Bolo Hauz Mosque (18th-20th centuries): built gradually, it amazes everyone with its stunning decorations and style. In particular, the huge portal at the entrance to the mosque, with its tall carved columns, and its unparalleled beautiful verandas surprise everyone.

Day 05

Bukhara Outskirts and Journey to Samarkand

  • After breakfast, check out of the hotel and continue on the route. It is good to know that Bukhara was once recognized as the capital of Islam.
  • Complete your short tour in the holy city of Bukhara by visiting several historical monuments outside the city in the early morning.
  • Char Minar (19th century): built by the order of the wealthy Khalfa Niyazqul, this architectural monument is radically different from other madrassas, as its four minarets were built in a unique style. Therefore, it makes a tremendous impression on tourists.
  • Memorial Complex of Shaykh Baha-Ud-Din Naqshband (14th-19th centuries): Sheikh Bahauddin Naqshbandi was the founder of the well-known Naqshbandi sect in the Islamic world, and his tomb is located in the countryside of Bukhara.
  • Sitorai Mokhi Khosa Palace (19th-20th centuries): a summer garden palace belonging to the third generation of the Mangit dynasty of the Emirate of Bukhara.
  • At the end of your tour in Bukhara, continue your caravan route to Samarkand city.

After lunch, start your first excursion in the ancient and mysterious city of Samarkand.

  • Gur-E Amir Mausoleum (14th-15th centuries): one of the masterpieces of Samarkand, built during the reign of Amir Temur and the Temurids, this monument always amazes people around the world with its unique beauty and majesty.

DINNER - at the national Uzbek restaurant, followed by transfer to the hotel for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 06

Samarkand Landmarks and Sacred Sites

  • Registan Square (15th-17th centuries): visit the Ulugbek, Tillya-kori, and Sherdor madrasahs. On the ancient Great Silk Road, it became an international trade center and later a center of science, known as the "sandy place."
  • Bibi Khanym Mosque (14th-15th centuries): named after the beloved Queen Bibi Khanym by order of Amir Temur, it was known at that time as the largest mosque in Central Asia.
  • Siab Bazaar: an opportunity to become acquainted with the ancient Siab Bazaar in Samarkand and enjoy the oriental sweets and dried fruits that you read about in fairy tales.

  • Shah-I-Zinda Ensemble: one of the holiest shrines for Muslims, this complex includes mausoleums from the 9th to the 19th centuries. Shah-i-Zinda means "living king," and it is the title given to Qusam ibn Abbas, a cousin of the Prophet Muhammad.

Day 07

Afrosiyab, Silk Carpets, and Return to Tashkent

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
  • The ruins of Afrosiyab: looking at the ancient hills and ruins of Afrosiyab across 220 hectares, as well as the Afrosiyab Museum, which tells the whole past of Samarkand, you can feel the conquest of these lands by such conquerors as Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, and Amir Temur.
  • Samarkand Silk Carpet Factory: discover the famous Samarkand silk carpet factory, known for its uniquely colourful carpets and high-quality ancient handicrafts.

LUNCH - at the national Uzbek restaurant.

  • Transfer to Samarkand Railway Station.
  • Arrive in Tashkent city in the evening.
  • Transfer to the hotel for check-in and take a rest for a while.

DINNER - at the national Uzbek restaurant and transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Departure from Tashkent

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Tashkent International Airport in the morning.
