Begin your journey from Tashkent to the charming village of Chimgan, where you will hike through forested trails, discover wild fruit trees, and enjoy panoramic views of Charvak Lake and the bordering mountain ranges of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Continue your exploration on day two with a scenic trek to the dramatic Kyzyl-Jar cliffs, encountering local shepherds, domestic animals, and vibrant birdlife along the way.
Itinerary

Day 1: Tashkent to Chimgan – Hike to Yusufkhona Village
- Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel in Tashkent.
Drive to Chimgan village (approximately 90 km, 1.5 hours).
Start the hike from the lower slopes of Small Chimgan Mountain.
Observe herds of horses and other domestic animals during the ascent.
Watch for bird species including vultures and mountain predators soaring above.
Reach higher elevation points to view the Charvak water reservoir and border mountains of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Explore the forest behind Small Chimgan filled with fruit trees such as almond, yellow and black plums, and apples.
Stop for lunch around 1 PM.
Begin the descent into the forest and follow a scenic trail through open landscapes and mountain villages around Charvak Lake.
Reach the area called Jaupoya and continue hiking toward Yusufkhona village.
Pass by beautiful gardens before ending the hike near the roadside at Yusufkhona.
Drive to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Hike to Kyzyl-Jar Cliffs and Return to Tashkent
- Have breakfast and transfer to the skiing resort near Chimgan tourism base.
Begin a 14 km hike to the dramatic Kyzyl-Jar cliffs, also known as Red Precipice.
Hike for approximately six hours while enjoying panoramic views from the mountain ridgeline.
Encounter shepherds' huts, grazing sheep, horses, and flocks of colorful birds.
Ascend to the highest point of the hike at approximately 1845 meters.
Descend gradually while hiking beside the Chimgan village and admire views of the towering Greater Chimgan at 3309 meters.
Stop for lunch at 1 PM.
Conclude the hike at Yubileyniy village in the lower Chimgan valley.
Return drive to Tashkent (approximately 90 km, 1.5 hours).
