Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Urgench – Transfer to Khiva

   • Arrival at Urgench Airport and transfer to Khiva (30 km).
   • Breakfast and rest at the hotel.
   • Begin exploring the walled town of Itchan Kala, offering an authentic vision of a 19th-century Central Asian city.

   Overnight: Khiva

2. Day 2: Khiva – Bukhara

   • Breakfast at the hotel.
   • Departure for Bukhara, crossing the Kyzylkum Desert.
   • Stop along the Amu Darya River for tea.
   • Lunch en route.
   • Arrival in the evening and hotel check-in.

3. Day 3: Discovering Bukhara

   • The Ark Fortress

   • Ulughbek and Abdulazizkhan Madrasas

4. Day 4: Bukhara – Nurata – Aydarkul Lake – Yurt Camp

   • Departure towards Nurata via Gijduvan to visit the ceramics workshop of master Abdullo Nurullaev.
   • Visit the ancient caravanserai Rabat-i-Malik and the Sardoba reservoir.
   • Arrival in Nurata: explore Alexander the Great’s Wall and Chashma spring.
   • Continue to Aydarkul Lake for swimming and a shore walk (weather permitting).
   • Proceed to the yurt camp and enjoy a camel ride.
   • Outdoor dinner with Kazakh songs around the fire.

5. Day 5: Mitan Village – Samarkand

   • Breakfast at the camp and departure for Samarkand via Mitan.
   • Visit a local family and experience rural life.
   • Participate in a cooking workshop to prepare plov.
   • Arrival in Samarkand and check-in.
   • Evening free time. Suggested:
   • Walk in the Russian Quarter
   • El Merosi Traditional Costume Theatre (optional)

6. Day 6: Samarkand – City Highlights

   • Visit the Shah-i-Zinda complex, housing the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad’s cousin.
   • Explore the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, built by Timur in honour of his favourite wife.
   • Stroll through the local bazaar for souvenirs and daily life.
   • Discover Registan Square, the historical heart of the city.
   • Visit the Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum, the 15th-century tomb of the Timurid dynasty.

7. Day 7: Samarkand – Panjikent – Seven Lakes – Ayrikiya

   • Breakfast at the hotel.
   • Depart for the Fan Mountains.
   • Cross the Tajik border at Jartepa (passport required).
   • Stop in Panjikent to explore the local bazaar and artisans’ stalls.
   • Continue to the Seven Lakes (Haft Kul) in the Fan Mountains.
   • Visit the lower lakes: Nezhegon, Soya, Gushor, and Marguzor, each known for its unique colours and charm.
   • Return to Uzbekistan in the afternoon.
   • Drive to the village of Ayrikiya.

8. Day 8: Ayrikiya Village – Rural Life

   • Stroll around the village of Ayrikiya.

9. Day 9: Ayrikiya – Samarkand – Konigil – Farewell Dinner

   • Visit the village of Konigil, known for its traditional paper factory.
