Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Uganda – Fly to Bwindi and Optional Cultural Walk

   • Arrive at Entebbe International Airport where you will be welcomed by a local representative.

   • Transfer to a scheduled internal flight from Entebbe to Kihihi Airfield.

   • Meet your safari guide at Kihihi and drive to your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

   • Check in and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch.

   • In the evening, take an optional guided community walk to visit the Batwa tribe and learn about their forest lifestyle.

   • Alternatively, unwind at the lodge and prepare for the gorilla trekking adventure.

2. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi

   • Wake up early and have breakfast while listening to the calls of tropical birds in the forest.

   • Transfer to the park headquarters for a detailed gorilla trekking briefing.

   • Begin the guided trek through the misty forest, navigating steep paths and dense undergrowth in search of a gorilla family.

   • Spend one full hour observing the mountain gorillas after they are located.

   • Return to the park headquarters for debriefing.

   • Drive back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

   • Enjoy a complementary post-trek massage at the lodge.

3. Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha

   • Have a relaxed breakfast at the lodge.

   • Transfer by road through the scenic Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

   • Stop for a short game drive in search of the unique tree-climbing lions that rest in fig trees.

   • Enjoy a picnic lunch by the Ishasha River while observing hippos and birdlife.

   • Continue the journey to the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

   • Check in at your lodge and enjoy dinner under the stars.

4. Day 4: Game Drive and Private Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

   • Wake up early and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.

   • Depart for a sunrise game drive in the Kasenyi Plains to look for predators and herbivores.

   • Search for lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, and warthogs.

   • Spot birdlife such as pelicans, African fish eagles, and kingfishers.

   • Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and relax by the pool.

   • Have an early lunch and transfer to the Mweya Peninsula.

   • Embark on a two-hour private boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel with drinks and snacks.

   • Observe wildlife including crocodiles, bathing elephants, hippos, and numerous bird species.

   • Return to the lodge for sunset drinks around the campfire followed by a private bush dinner.

5. Day 5: Scenic Flight Back to Entebbe and Departure

   • Transfer to a day room in Entebbe for relaxation and freshening up.

   • Depending on your international flight schedule, transfer to Entebbe International Airport for departure.
