Day 1: Fly from Entebbe to Kisoro – Lake Mutanda Walk and Canoe Experience
- Board a morning domestic flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kisoro Airstrip.
Meet your local guide upon arrival and drive towards the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a brief game drive, offering the chance to spot elephants, antelopes, or buffaloes.
Begin a scenic community walk towards Lake Mutanda, covering approximately 19 kilometers over 6 to 7 hours.
Enjoy a traditional canoe ride across the tranquil waters of Lake Mutanda in a locally crafted dugout canoe.
Pause along the way for a packed lunch surrounded by natural beauty.
Arrive at your lodge in the Bwindi region, check in, and spend the evening relaxing while preparing for the gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Optional Batwa Cultural Visit
- Have an early breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking protocols.
Begin your gorilla trek at 08:00 AM, venturing into the dense rainforest accompanied by armed rangers and experienced trackers.
Follow trails that lead to the previous night’s nesting area of the gorilla family assigned to your group.
Spend up to one hour observing the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, a deeply moving and unforgettable experience.
Trekking duration can range from 2 to 7 hours depending on the gorillas’ location.
Return to the lodge for lunch and rest.
If time permits, take part in the Batwa Experience in the afternoon. Learn about the unique lifestyle of the indigenous Batwa Pygmies through traditional storytelling, music, fire-making, and hunting demonstrations.

Day 3: Transfer from Bwindi to Entebbe – Flight from Kisoro
- Enjoy a relaxed morning before checking out from your lodge.
Transfer to Kisoro Airstrip for your return domestic flight to Entebbe.
During the flight, enjoy sweeping aerial views of southwestern Uganda’s rolling hills, crater lakes, and mist-covered forests.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, proceed to check-in for your outbound international flight or onward destination.
