Description
Murchison Falls National Park is located at the northern extremity of the Albertine Rift Valley, where the massive Bunyoro escarpment meets the huge Acholi plains. It was gazetted as a game reserve in 1926 to safeguard the wildlife-filled savanna, making it one of Uganda's oldest conservation zones. The park is divided by the Victoria Nile, which plunges 40 meters over the surviving rift valley wall at the spectacular Murchison Falls.

Day 1 Transfer From Entebbe to Murchison falls National Park
After an early breakfast at Karibu Guest house, you will depart for Murchison Falls National Park, traveling through lovely woods and Savannah grasslands. This travel takes 6-7 hours, and upon arriving, you will have your lunch and rest. At 3:00 p.m., you will take a boat ride upstream on the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls. Along the way, you'll witness hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck, and a variety of birds, including the rare shoebill stork. The boat pauses only a few meters from the "Devil's Cauldron" to allow for photographs of the stunning and spectacular Murchison Falls. You will then be returned to your booked lodge for supper and sleep.
