Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrive in Arusha

   • Arrive in Arusha and meet with the tour guide at Kilimanjaro International airport.
   • Transfer to a lodge set in lush tropical gardens on a coffee farm outside Arusha, featuring twelve beautiful garden cottages designed with a unique blend of African arts and crafts combined with old, colonial-style luxury. 

   Dinner and overnight stay in Arusha. 

2. Day 2: Arusha- Tarangire National Park

   • Have breakfast, check-out of the hotel and drive to Tarangire National Park, a wild landscape painted with open grasslands, acacia trees and the Tarangire River. 
   • Arrive in Tarangire National Park, check-in at Tarangire Treetops that serenely sits on the border of Tarangire National Park. East of the 20 rooms is elevated above the ground with a private balcony offering views over the tops of the surrounding marula and baobab tree. 
   • Enjoy a welcome lunch. 
   • Go for a Game drive in the afternoon and spot giraffes, waterbucks, zebras and elephants, hartebeest, gazelles and birds, including the giant martial eagle.

3. Day 3: Tarangire National Park

   • Wake up early and go for a full day Game drive. 
   • Spot the nocturnal animals, including lions, hyenas, leopards and African wildcats. 
   • Travel back to Tarangire Treetops lodge for dinner and overnight stay. 

4. Day 4: Tarangire National Park- Ngorongoro Crater

   • Travel to Ngorongoro Crater, a 2,000-foot- deep caldera that offers a fascinating miniature of East African wildlife. 
   • Go for a Game drive and spot animals and birds, including buffalos, flamingos, lions and leopards.
   • Travel to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

5. Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

   • Wake up early in the morning and go for a Game drive. 
   • Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater and explore a natural wildlife haven. Many of these animals live their whole life at the bottom of this intact caldera. 
   • Spot zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles mingled together, while herds of buffalos, elephants and rhinos roam around. Catch up with the hippos as they lounge in the water holes where the lions position themselves to ambush preys. 
   • Get closer to the lake and watch the Flamingos as they feed and play. 
   • Visit a Maasai village and learn about the tribe’s charming cultural traditions; nomadic lifestyle and how they coexistence with wildlife. 
   • Travel back to the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. 

6. Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater- Serengeti National Park

   • Have an early morning breakfast and drive to Serengeti National Park.
   • Have lunch at Serengeti National Park.
   • Go for a Game drive and spot lions, hyenas, leopards, and more. 
   • Travel to Singita Faru Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

7. Day 7: Serengeti National Park

   • Go for morning and afternoon game drives that offer incredible sightings of the densest wildlife populations, including the Big Five- lions, elephants, Cape buffalos, leopards and rhinos, supplemented by a variety of birds, and big mammals like cheetahs, a fleet of Thomson’s gazelles, giraffe, warthog, dik dik, bushbuck, waterbuck, eland, impala, and topi. 
   • If you plan your trip around November and December or through early July, you can witness the annual migration as vast herds of wildebeest and zebras embark on their yearly crossing from Kenya’s Masai Mara.
   • Travel back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

8. Day 8: Serengeti National Park- Arusha

   • Have breakfast at the hotel, then drive to the nearby airstrip for a chartered flight to Arusha.
