Description
Join this 7-day trip to Murchison Falls National Park for wildlife safaris and take a boat cruise at the Victoria Nile. Head to the Semliki National Park and admire the Sempaya hot springs. Then, transfer to Kibale Forest National Park for chimp trekking, game drives, and community walks. Also, proceed to Mungilo Waterfall and spot some rare birds.

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls
- Drive to the famous Murchison Falls National Park from Kampala via the Bombo road, which will take approximately 5 hours. Along the way, see the well-known Luwero triangle, which currently has developed into a small town having a trading center infamous for its painful history of the Baganda mass murder. Stop by for lunch at Masindi Hotel. Then, drive through Budongo forest as well as Kaniyo Pabidi.
- On arrival at the park, proceed to the top of the waterfalls.

Day 2: Wildlife Safari at Murchison Falls
- Embark on an early morning game viewing through the park in search of elephants, Uganda kobs, giraffes, lions, waterbucks, hippos and buffaloes, plus a diversity of bird species.
- Return to the lodge for breakfast and wait for lunch while taking nature walks around the park.
- Later, experience a boat cruise in the afternoon to the bottom of the falls to see diverse wildlife on the riverbanks drinking water. See various antelopes, crocodiles, waterbucks, hippos, elephants, plus buffaloes, among many others, on the shore, in addition to a diversity of waterbird species that make this a renowned birding paradise.

Day 3: Chimp Trekking in Budongo Forest
- After breakfast, set out for chimpanzee trekking within Budongo Forest, which takes approximately 3 to 5 hours. Budongo Forest is well known for its special Mahogany tree species, which are huge. In addition, there are numerous primates, such as the forest galago, red-tailed monkeys, pott, blue monkey, and several bird species like the yellow-footed eye-catcher and the white-thighed hornbill.

Day 4: Semliki National Park
- Drive to Semliki and head to Bundibugyo. Enjoy this picturesque drive with views of Lake Albert and the legendary Mountain Rwenzori ranges. This park is located in the Bundibugyo district along the western border of Uganda with the Democratic Republic of Congo near Lake Albert. The park has a great location within the western Albertine Rift valley region.

Day 5: Sempaya Hot Springs
- Visit the highlight in Semliki, also referred to as the Sempaya Hot Springs. The natural springs have a geyser shooting high from an 8-meter-wide hole at a very high temperature. You may also identify a couple of bird types on this trail, such as the blue breasted kingfisher and Frasier’s ant-thrush, in addition to primates such as grey checked mangabey and the red-tailed monkey.
- Proceed to Mungilo Waterfall to spot some other fascinating birds.
- After lunch, in the late afternoon, take a boat ride on Lake Albert, a wonderful lake.

Day 6: Kibale National Park
- Head to Kibale, another preferred tourist destination. Enjoy the stunning drive southwest through Fort Portal, where you will have a lunch break.
- See the Toro Kingdom Palace, the dining areas, royal tombs, the mosque, and several shops.
- Continue with the drive to Kibale, only a couple of kilometres ahead. This national park has the largest number of primates in the whole of East Africa, such as chimpanzees, black & white Colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and baboons.
- After lunch, go for a guided walk in the famous Bigodi Swamp Sanctuary, a place ideal for bird lovers. The Papyrus Gonolek and the Blue Turaco can easily be seen among the other 137 bird types. You can also find a great array of colourful butterflies. It highlights an assortment of plants and animals in the forest.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Tracking and Departure
- Wake up early in the morning to track chimpanzees near Kanyanchu, which can take half a day. There are primates in the area, such as the golden monkeys, Lhotse's monkeys, baboons, white & black Colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red Colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and pottos.
- Later, return to Kampala with lunch along the way, and this will end our safari.
