Description
This 6-days Ugandan safari with chimpanzee and gorilla trekking will take you to different tourist destinations in the western and southwestern part of Uganda like Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Explore Kibale Forest National Park, home to 13 primate species and mostly known for chimpanzees. Go through Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to several wildlife species and over 500 bird species. Also, enjoy sightseeing on a cruise along the Kazinga Channel.
Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala - Kibale National Park
- Get picked up from the accommodation or starting point by our guide after breakfast to transfer from Kampala to Kibale Forest via the Fort portal. Have lunch in Fort Portal and refreshments before embarking on the trip.
- After arriving at the park, visit the beautiful crater lakes. See the terraced tea estates. Have diner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Kibale Forest - Queen Elizabeth National Park
- After breakfast, set out with the driver guide and transfer to the park head offices for a briefing. Start the chimpanzee trek through this Kibale Forest guided by the park rangers. It is always a thrilling and unforgettable experience to meet chimpanzees face to face and watch them engage in their daily activities like jumping, feeding etc. Other animals also can be spotted on the trek, such as the grey-cheeked mangabeys and different birds.
- Later, go back to the lodge, have lunch, and check out as you embark on your 3-hour journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 3: Game Drive & Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
- Start for an early morning game drive to see some early rising animals along the Kasenyi track like elephants, antelopes, solitary buffaloes, lions, warthogs, as well as hundreds of birds. After the game drive, which takes 2 to 3 hours, head to the lodge, have breakfast and relax with some entertainment like board games.
- Next, go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Enjoy watching elephants, buffaloes, banks, crocodiles, waterbucks, and various birds. Get back to the lodge, freshen up, have dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi Forest
After breakfast, begin your journey to Bwindi, going through the Ishasha sector to look for tree-climbing lions and many other wildlife species.
Have lunch en route and arrive at the park/lodge in the afternoon.

Day 5: Bwindi Forest-Gorilla Tekking & Batwa Community
- Get up early in the morning for breakfast and drive to the park head offices with your tour guide. Reach 7:30 am and get briefed about what to do and not do while trekking. Then follow the ranger guides through the mist jungle. Trekking usually takes up to 6 hours due to the location of gorillas. You are permitted to watch them for only 1 hour.
- Later, Return to the lodge to have lunch as you prepare to for a community visit among the Batwa people in the evening.

Day 6: Departure
- After breakfast, set off for Kampala, have lunch in Mbarara city, and stop over for photos at the equator. Here, you can also buy some souvenirs.
- Continue to Kampala reaching in the evening.
