Itinerary

1. Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls

   • Start your day early in Kampala, Uganda’s capital city.
   • Drive to Murchison Falls National Park.
   • The journey takes approximately 4-6 hours, depending on road conditions and stops along the way.
   • Along the journey, we will stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, which is en route to Murchison Falls.
   • This sanctuary is home to white rhinos and offers a unique opportunity to see these majestic creatures.

2. Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park

   • After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in the northern section of Murchison Falls National Park.
   • This is a fantastic opportunity to spot various wildlife species, including elephants, giraffes, lions, and more.
   • After the morning game drive, you will return to your accommodation for lunch and some relaxation.
   • In the afternoon, take a boat safari on the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls.
   • This boat trip offers excellent opportunities for bird watching and seeing animals along the riverbanks.
   • You will witness the powerful Murchison Falls, where the Nile River is forced through a narrow gorge, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
   • Later in the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

3. Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Kibale National Park

   • Enjoy breakfast at your lodge in Murchison Falls.
   • Check out and start your journey to Kibale National Park.
   • The drive from Murchison Falls to Kibale is approximately 6-8 hours, so be prepared for a long but scenic journey.
   • Arrive at your accommodation near Kibale National Park and settle in.
   • Have dinner and rest up for the adventures awaiting you in Kibale.

4. Day 4: Kibale National Park

   • After breakfast, head to Kibale National Park, known for its population of chimpanzees and other primates.
   • Participate in a guided chimpanzee tracking experience.
   • You will have the chance to get up close to these intelligent and fascinating animals.
   • In the afternoon, consider exploring Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a nearby community-run project that offers opportunities for birdwatching and walking tours.
   • Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

5. Day 5: Kibale National Park – Return to Kampala

   • Enjoy your final breakfast in Kibale.
   • Check out from your lodge and start your journey back to Kampala.
   • The drive is approximately 5-6 hours.
   • Arrive in Kampala, where you can either head to your accommodation or be dropped off at the airport if you have a departing flight.
   • End of 5 days Murchison falls and Chimp trekking.
