Itinerary
-
Day 1: Entebbe - Kidepo Valley National Park
- Pick up from your hotel in Entebbe and embark on your safari adventure to Kidepo Valley National Park.
- Head towards the North and make your first stop in Luweero Triangle for a purchase of fresh fruits and refreshments. The place is also a historical monument; you will know first-hand about the brutal massacre – the 1980 Uganda Civil War that ushered the ruling government into power occurred in that place.
- Have lunch and head for Gulu.
-
Day 2: Kidepo Valley Adventure
- After having breakfast in the morning, continue your journey to the craved Kidepo Valley National Park.
- Upon arriving at the park, have lunch and set out for a game drive through Karamoja's prized wilderness.
- While driving through the Narus Valley, you can spot herds of elephants, buffalos, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, bush babies, zebras and many more.
-
Day 3: Kidepo Valley Adventure - Kanangorok hot springs
- After a delicious breakfast, drive through forests, hills, open Savannahs, rocky outcrops and small mountain-like mounds.
- The slow drive will allow you time to spot the sought-after wildlife: lions, zebras, cheetahs, oribis, giraffes, and leopards, and to take in beautiful scenery.
- You will also drive to Kanangorok hot springs, which is the most permanent source of water in the park, before embarking on another safari adventure excursion – a cultural and native tour to meet the IK people who live in the Monrungole Mountains.
-
Day 4: Departure from Kampala
- Have an early breakfast and then set out on a drive back to Kampala.
- Because of the park's remote location, you will depart a bit early in order to arrive in Kampala before dark.
