Itinerary

1. Day 1: Kigali City Tour and transfer to Akagera National Park

   • Arrive at Kigali International Airport and meet with the tour guide. 
   • Go for a city tour of Kigali and visit the Genocide Memorial Center.
   • Have lunch at a local restaurant and walk along the streets of Kigali.
   • Drive to the accommodation in Akagera National Park for dinner and overnight stay.

2. Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Akagera National Park

   • Have an early morning breakfast and go for a Game Drive.
   • Spot wild animals, including lions, leopards, elephants, antelopes, and many more.
   • Have lunch at a picnic spot and enjoy the beautiful scenary of the National Park.
   • Take a boat ride in the Akagera river and spot water animals like hippos and crocodiles.
   • Try bird-watching while on the boat.
   • Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. 

3. Day 3: Akagera National Park- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

   • Travel from Akagera National Park in Rwanda to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda. 
   • Enjoy the scenic views during the drive and have multiple stopovers for clicking great photographs. 
   • Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National and check-in at the lodge for an overnight stay.

4. Day 4: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

   • Wake up early, have breakfast, meet with the tour guide and travel to the Park.
   • Attend a briefing session on safety and how to behave while with the gorillas. 
   • Drive to the forest, begin your trek from the starting point and track the wild mountain gorillas.
   • Spend time with the gorillas once you find them, observe their lifestyle and befriend them. 
   • Have a packed lunch during the trek in the forest.
   • Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

5. Day 5: Return to Kigali and Depart

   • Drive back to Kigali in Rwanda from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda. 
   • Arrive in Kigali and transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
