Itinerary

1. Day 1: Kampala - Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary - Murchison National Park

   • Meet with the guide at your hotel in Kampala where and he will brief you about the safari tour and then begin your journey.
   • Travel to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and pay a visit to the wild endangered rhinos of Uganda. 
   • After your safari, take a short drive to Masindi town for lunch.
   • Travel to the Murchison National Park and check-in at the lodge.  
   • Take a short walk in the evening to the grand Murchison Falls located in the middle of the national park. 

   Overnight stay at the lodge in Murchison National Park. 

2. Day 2: Game Drive- Boat Cruise

   • Have an early morning breakfast and begin your safari. 
   • Go for a game drive in the Murchison National Park and spot wild animals, including elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, giraffes, warthogs, Ugandan cobs, and many other savanna animals.
   • Travel back to the lodge to have lunch and relax. 
   • Go on a boat cruise in the Nile delta to spot wild water species like crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and hippos.
   • Enjoy bird-watching while on the boat cruise as the Nile Delta is known to have a unique range of bird species, including cormorants, storks and kingfishers.
   • Travel back to your lodge in Murchison National Park. 

3. Day 3: Budongo forest

   • Have breakfast and then travel to Budongo forest, the home of wild habituated chimpanzees.
   • Arrive at the Budongo Forest Eco Lodge and attend a briefing on Chimpanzee tracking rules. 
   • Begin with your Chimpanzee tracking tour. 
   • Once we find them, you will be given one hour to observe them & learn their lifestyle.
   • Travel back to the lodge in Murchison National Park and spend the night there. 

4. Day 4: Departure

   • Have an early morning breakfast.
   • Travel back to Kampala and depart for your destination.
