Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park
- After having breakfast at your hotel, embark on a 300km (5-6hours) drive to fort portal. You will enjoy the magical views of the lush green countryside and impressive physical landscape including the views of Lake Wamala at a distance, close looks to Mubende inselbergs, the swamps of kyengegwa and kyenjojo before arriving in fort portal.
- You settle in fort portal for lunch after connect to Amabele caves for a heritage encounter. The breast-like features are believed to be breasts of a young girl called NyinaMwiruthe mother of Ndahura the famous Muchwezi ruler who expanded the Chwezi Empire across the interlacustrine region.
- From the caves, you hike the fort portal Crater Lake field to explore the effects of explosive volcanicity in the area. The area is marked by a range of crater hallows and some of them have been filled with water from crater lakes. The hike to the summit of kyengegwa hill offers panoramic views of the area and the distant Rwenzori Mountains. You will then connect to Kibale national park for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk
- After a healthy breakfast, you will connect to the Kanyachu visitor centre, where you will meet the park ranger guide for a briefing on how the trekking is conducted, and he will lead you into the magnificent rain forest in Kibale for your unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience which starts at 8 am. The trekking experience takes 2-3 hours involving hikes through challenging forest landscapes covered by mature trees and verdant flora (371 tree species). Once the chimp is sighted, you can spend one hour with these intelligent apes. You will watch them play, eat, feed, patrolling their territories. Return for lunch and relax.
- Connect to Bigodi wetland sanctuary for a wetland walk. The sanctuary is an Eco-tourism site and is the best in Uganda, with over 200 bird species, including the great blue Turaco. It is also a habitat for the swamp-dwelling sitatunga antelope and several primates. Return for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
- After a cup of coffee, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth national park. Upon arrival, you will embark on a drive through the spectacular landscapes of the park to search for exciting wildlife, such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and spotted hyenas, to mention but a few. You will also encounter many bird species, including flamingos, African skimmers, Ayres hawk eagle, and west banded snake eagle. After the game drive, you will return for lunch.
- Have an afternoon relaxing launch cruise on the spectacular Kazzinga channel; you will encounter herds of hippos, crocodiles, and elephants cooling off on the shores along with water birds such as saddle-billed stork, pink-backed pelican, African spoonbill, among others. The cruise takes 2 hours. Retreat from the activity and undertake a game drive along the channel, tracking for more wildlife as you connect to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Game drive in the Ishasha sector for tree-climbing lions
- After breakfast, you will transfer to the Ishasha sector, 75km from the north of Queen Elizabeth national park driving along the impressive savannah-protected landscapes. Upon arrival in the south of Queen Elizabeth national park, you embark on a game drive in search of the legendary tree-climbing lions resting on fig tree branches in the day time. The sector also supports other wild games, including waterbucks, kobs, buffaloes and elephants. After the game drive, return for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Do chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge and transfer to Kampala
- After breakfast, embarks on the chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge, where you slope down an afforested gorge of 100m deep with sights of magical lush mature tropical forest thriving below sea level supporting counts of chimpanzees. Kyambura Gorge also harbours other primates, including black-and-white colobus, vervet, and red-tailed monkeys.
- Retreat from the encounter, which takes 2-5 hours and then embark on a 417km (7hour) drive to Kampala, making a stopover at the equator for lunch, photos and the water experiment. Then continue your journey to Kampala.
