Itinerary

1. Day 1: Murchison Falls National Park - Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

   • After early morning breakfast at the hotel, connect with a driver guide, and embark on a 305km (4-5hours)) drive to the northwest of Uganda to Murchison falls national park with a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary, the proud home to Uganda’s only wild white rhino totalling to 32 in number, embark on 2 hours on foot rhino trekking in a company of an experienced ranger guide. Retreat from the activity and connect to Gulu road with the lunch enroute. Enter the park through the northern Wangkwar gate along Kampala-Arua road.

2. Day 2: Sports Fishing at the Nile River

   • Have breakfast at around 8 am and embark on a whole day fishing experience exploring the fish species along the Nile, including large Nile perch, catfish and tiger fish. The record of rod and line in Murchison was established by Kevin Nicholson in 2013. His Mammoth Catch weighed 114kg, just eclipsing Tim Smith’s 113kg catch in 2009. You will have the best boats and expert guides during this exciting adventure sport fishing exercise. Retreat for lunch and get back to the Nile for fishing. You can hold some little competition with your partner

3. Day 3: Fishing and Hiking

   • After breakfast, we start another day of fishing experience on the bottom of the falls, targeting the powerful mile perch as they drop from the 45m high waterfall still unsteady after being crushed along with the waters of the Nile River exploding violently through a 7m wide gorge.
   • Undertake a hike to the top of the falls following a narrow path and enjoy your packed lunch. The hike may be strenuous, but the thrill of reaching the top is unforgettable.
   • After a stunning hike to the top of the falls, go fishing again in the afternoon. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

4. Day 4: Kampala

   • Have a delicious breakfast early in the morning and undertake a morning game drive in the northern part of the park in the Buligi sector. You will see animals like lions, elephants, warthogs, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas, giraffes and a variety of birds.
   • Return to the lodge for relaxation and checkout from the lodge, and embark on a drive back to Kampala.
