Itinerary

1. White Water Rafting

   • This adventure starts after an early morning breakfast at your home. Embark on an 80km journey to Jinja at 6:30 am from Kampala to avoid the morning traffic jam, the journey will take 2-3 hours through the impressive landscapes of the city out skirts, towns and markets where you see people going on with their daily life before entering into the sugarcane plantations of Lugazi and the tropical rain forest of Mabira.
   • On your arrival, you will relax and later transfer to the starting point of white water rafting where you will be briefed and given rafting gears.
   • This one day trip covers roughly 19km of the Nile. You will start on the flat water just a couple of kilometers downstream of the Bujagali dam were you run through comprehensive safety training.
   • By the time you will get to your first major rapid of the day (grade 5) you will be feeling like a professional. Whenever you reach the next rapids the guide arranges the votes of whether to go through the easy route or the hard way, if the majority wants the hard way, you will have no choice you will have to prepare yourself and go in for the adventure. There is a great little wave called Itanda hole it’s the best place to learn how to surf. Vengeance finishes up your day, a grade 4, two-tier rapid which can often offer a flip for those who dare to hit the biggest waves.
   • The main route has 9 rapids where the 4 are grade 5. The rapids becomes stronger and quicker as you go downstream, in between the rapids are calm waters and islands were you can relax, swim, take lunch or marvel at the beautiful scenery. Expect to encounter locals fishing and drying their clothes on the riverside.
   • You will enjoy a great meal overlooking the river. After the adventurous tour, you will embark on your way back to Kampala or Entebbe.
