Description
Sign up on this tour and go chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National park. Start with Kibale headquarters and spot some baboons, monkeys, and indigenous tree species. Then, hike through the Nyakalengija and spot white colobus and blue monkeys. Visit the Kurt Shafer bridge and the Bujuku and Mubuku rivers conference.
Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala - Kibale National Park
- Get pick you up by your guide from your hotel in Entebbe/airport and then transfer to Kibale. The journey is about 7 hours, with a stopover in Mubende for lunch.

Days 2: Chimp tracking - Nyakalengija
- Go to Kibale headquarters, where you will present your permits and be shortly briefed about the activity and then set out into the forest. The activity will take you about 4 hours or even more, depending on the location of the chimps.
- Spot some other primates that live in the park-like baboons, monkeys, various indigenous tree species, and birds. You will then return to the lodge, refresh and have lunch.
- Check out of the lodge and then transfer to Kasese – Nyakalengija. Check in at equator snow lodge, where you will have dinner and spend the night

Day 3: Nyakalengija – Nyabitaba
- Walk to the hike's starting point, where you will find your guide and porters.
- Start your hike from Nyakalengija through the bamboo, high elephant grass, dense bushes, climbing rocks and crossing river Mahoma.
- Along this route, spot white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, three-horned chameleons and various bird species like the Rwenzori Turaco. The journey will take you about 4-5 hours and finally reach Nyabitaba hut, where you will have your dinner and spend the night.

Day 4: Nyabitaba – John matte
- Proceed with the hike through the forest to the Kurt Shafer Bridge and the Bujuku and Mubuku rivers conference.
- Proceed through the bamboo forest and slippery moss-covered rocks for a couple of hours. The top of Nyamulegeya rock will give you a view of Mount Stanley and Mount Speke.
- Then reach john matte hut. At this hut, you will have a clear view of Mt. Stanley and the Margherita glacier if the weather is clear. You will have dinner and spend the night at this hut.

Day 5: John matte – Nyakalengija
- After your breakfast, you will hike a little more to see the giant lobelias before descending back to Nyakalengija.
- Return to the equator snow lodge, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 6: Drive to Kampala
- You will have breakfast at the lodge and then check out. Your driver will then drive you back to Kampala.
- Make a stopover in Mubende for lunch and then proceed.
- The driver will drop you at your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe or the airport for your flight back home.
