Description
Embark on a wilderness safari to track gorillas and chimpanzees in two famous National Parks of Uganda: the Bwindi National Park and the Kibale National Park. Take beautiful pictures as you pass through the Equator, go on exciting game drives to spot varied wildlife, and learn about the culture and lifestyle of the local people.
Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
- Upon arrival, you will meet your tour representative and drive to Entebbe town for a Safari briefing.
- After this, you will head to Kampala for a short city tour, depending on the time of your arrival flight. You will visit the Uganda museum, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, Kasubi Tombs.
Dinner and overnight at City Hotel.

Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
- After Breakfast, depart to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Southwestern Uganda.
- On the route to the park, stopover at the Equator for water experiments and photographs. Also, stop over at Mpigi (Mpambire drum village), where you can be able to watch the ceremonial drums made out of local materials.
- Proceed and have lunch in Mbarara town and then proceed and reach Bwindi in the evening in time for dinner and overnight stay at Lodge/Camp.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi
- After breakfast, you will be briefed about the Gorilla tracking protocol and once this is done, penetrate the Jungle forest to search for the rare Mountain Gorillas. The time taken to track gorillas is unpredictable and it can take 3-10 hours, lunch will be packed.
Dinner and overnight stay at Camp/Lodge.

Day 4: Kibale Forest National Park
- After breakfast, drive to Kibale Forest National Park via Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is the opportunity to see the rare tree-climbing lions and many more antelopes.
- Upon arrival in Fort Portal, you will have lunch and then later go for the afternoon nature walk in the Crater Lake region.
Dinner and overnight stay at Camp/Lodge.

Day 5: Chimp Tracking in Kibale
- After breakfast, have a Chimpanzee brief. Once you are done, you will enter the forest to search for the man’s closest friend, the chimps. The tracker must be 18 years of age and above.
- From experience, you will get to know the similarities between Chimp and Man. Besides the chimps, you will also be able to see other primate species such as the grey-cheeked mangabeys, baboons and vervet monkeys.
- Return to the Lodge for Lunch and in the afternoon, go for the afternoon swamp walk in Bigodi. Here the guide will provide details about the flora and fauna that you will encounter, and then after, you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Camp/ Lodge.

Day 6: Transfer back to Kampala
- After your breakfast, visit the Toro Kingdom Palace, which was built on top of the hill, attracting views of the Rwenzori ranges and Fort portal town.
- Later, proceed to Kampala via Mubende with a lunch stop along the route.
- Drop off will be at your Hotel in Kampala or the airport for your flight back home.
End of Safari.
