Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

   • Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Take the day to relax and recover from your journey. Arusha is the gateway to Tanzania’s northern circuit safaris and offers a peaceful environment in which to begin your adventure.
   • Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the local markets, visit the Cultural Heritage Centre, or simply enjoy the hotel’s amenities.

   Overnight at your chosen accommodation in Arusha, preparing for the safari ahead.

2. Day 2: Tarangire National Park

   • After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, a two-hour drive from Arusha. Tarangire is known for its giant baobab trees, diverse wildlife, and large elephant herds.
   • Spend the day exploring the park, spotting zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, lions, and more. The Tarangire River is the park’s lifeline, attracting wildlife to its banks.
   • Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and an afternoon game drive.
   • In the evening, head to your lodge or camp within the park for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

3. Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

   • This morning, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and pink flamingos. Nestled between the Rift Valley escarpment and the vast alkaline lake, this park offers a unique blend of landscapes, from lush groundwater forests to acacia woodlands.
   • Spend the day on a game drive, observing the diverse wildlife that includes elephants, hippos, giraffes, and a variety of bird species. The park is also known for its breathtaking views of the Rift Valley and Lake Manyara.
   • Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue exploring until evening.

   Overnight at a nearby lodge or camp.

4. Day 4: Serengeti National Park (Central)

   • Today, journey to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park.
   • Start early for the long but scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands.
   • Enter the Serengeti and embark on a game drive en route to your lodge in the central region, known for its abundance of wildlife year-round. The Serengeti is famous for the Great Migration, but even outside migration season, you will witness a diverse range of animals, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and hyenas.
   • After a thrilling day of wildlife encounters, retire to your lodge or camp for a well-deserved rest.

5. Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

   • After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti, soaking in the beauty of the endless plains and spotting wildlife along the way.
   • By mid-morning, begin your drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
   • Arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater rim in the afternoon, where you will be greeted by the breathtaking view of the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.
   • Spend the night at a lodge or camp on the crater rim, preparing for an early descent into the crater the following day.

6. Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour and Departure

   • Wake up early and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is home to around 25,000 animals, including the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, and leopards.
   • Explore the diverse habitats of the crater floor, from grasslands to forests and wetlands.
   • Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before ascending the crater walls.
   • Afterwards, drive back to Arusha, where you will be transferred to the airport for your departure, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian safari adventure.
