Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival & Introduction to Maasai Culture

   • Arrive and settle into a welcoming Maasai village where you’ll be introduced to the community’s history, traditions, and daily lifestyle. 
   • Begin with a warm greeting by Maasai elders and participate in a tour of the village, learning about their iconic red shukas (clothing) and beadwork. 
   • Enjoy a traditional meal prepared with local ingredients, followed by storytelling by a Maasai warrior, sharing tales of their heritage and the importance of preserving their ancestral lands. 
   • In the evening, witness or join the "adumu" – the famous jumping dance – as part of a Maasai cultural celebration, and spend the night in a locally-styled accommodation.

2. Day 2: Maasai Activities & Cultural Engagement

   • Start the day with a sunrise cattle herding experience, where Maasai guides will teach you the importance of livestock in their culture. 
   • Later, participate in beadwork sessions, trying your hand at creating Maasai jewelry. 
   • Spend the afternoon learning traditional bushcraft, including fire-making and medicinal plant identification. 
   • Engage with Maasai women to hear their stories and gain insight into their roles in the community. This day of hands-on activities fosters a deep appreciation for the Maasai way of life. 
   • Conclude with a heartfelt farewell ceremony before spending a second night in the village.

3. Day 3: Arusha National Park Safari & Departure

   • Depart from the Maasai village and head to Arusha National Park for a half-day safari. Here, marvel at the park’s diverse ecosystems, from montane forests to open savannahs. 
   • Spot wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, elephants, and possibly leopards, along with a variety of bird species. 
   • Trek through the lush forests to Tululusia Waterfall, or enjoy a scenic canoe ride on Momella Lakes, surrounded by views of Mount Meru. 
   • After this refreshing wildlife experience, return to Arusha in the afternoon for departure, carrying with you memories of Maasai hospitality and Tanzania’s natural beauty.
