- Meet your guide at your hotel in Lushoto and travel to Magamba Village, home of Magamba Eco Cultural Tourism in the Usambara Mountains.
- Receive a warm welcome from the local community and enjoy lemongrass and ginger tea served by the village mamas.
- Listen to an introduction from your guide Alfonce explaining the programme and the cultural importance of traditional cooking in the community.
- Walk with the village mamas to the local garden and pick fresh vegetables and ingredients used for the cooking class.
- Learn about local farming practices and seasonal foods grown in the Usambara Mountains during the garden visit.
- Enter a traditional village kitchen and begin the hands on cooking class guided by the experienced village mamas.
