Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

   Early morning departure from Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara Park for game viewing and photography; Lake Manyara is home to large numbers of flamingo, pelican, stork, and other different bird species and is therefore regarded as the birding paradise of Tanzania. Other animals easily spotted include hippos, which can be observed at close range during your boat ride. Giraffes, gazelles, warthogs, and others can be seen browsing inside the park. If lucky, you might see the rare tree-climbing lion.

2. Day 2: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park

   Early breakfast, followed by departure to the Great Serengeti arriving for lunch; lunch is followed by game viewing. Serengeti is home to Africa’s big five (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard & buffalo) and is also home to millions of other animals, which include browsers, predators, reptiles, and birds. The annual wildebeest migration commences in June when over 1 million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle head into the Masai Mara plains in search of better pasture. These animals are followed closely by the predators of the savannah (lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, vultures, and others). Evening transfer back to accommodation for rest and dinner

3. Day 3: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

   Early breakfast followed by morning game drives within Serengeti to see the park one last time. Afterwards, return to camp for a hot lunch, check out, and be driven to Ngorongoro Crater, arriving in the evening for check-in and dinner. Ngorongoro is rich and fertile, with stunning views of the crater and lakes.

4. Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Arusha

   Breakfast will be followed by check out from camp with a packed picnic lunch to eat during your 6 hours of game viewing on the crater floor. Descend to the crater for the breathtaking huge caldera, home to Tanzania’s only remaining black rhino population. Other animals which are easy to spot include hippos, elephants, gazelles, antelopes, flamingos, and other water birds. In the afternoon, you will ascend back to the crater rim for a transfer to Arusha to connect with your next flight to your next destination.
