Itinerary

1. Day 1 - Tarangire National Park

   • Proceed from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park for the game drives along with your Tanzania safari guide. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. The fierce sun sucks the moisture from the landscape, baking the earth a dusty red, the withered grass as brittle as straw. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings.

   • Enjoy a lovely picnic lunch, and proceed for an afternoon game drive.

   • Continue to Karatu Simba Lodge.

   Stay overnight and enjoy your dinner at Karatu Simba Lodge.

2. Day 2 - Serengeti National Park

   • After breakfast, continue towards the Serengeti National Park. As the drive from Karatu takes a few hours, eat your lunch on the way to the park or just before entering.

   • Continue to an afternoon game drive. This Park covers an area of 14,763sq km, and the name Serengeti comes from the Maasai language meaning endless plains. 

   • Return to the South to relish the species in a brief population explosion that produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the pilgrimage begins again. Depending on the season and the location of the migratory animals, your game drive will take you to various parts of the Serengeti.

   • Watch the beautiful sunset over the plains.

   Continue to the Serengeti Osupuko Tented Camp, where you will stay overnight and enjoy dinner.

3. Day 3 - Serengeti National Park

   • Enjoy another day of wildlife viewing from a second location deep in the Serengeti. Home to hundreds of thousands of hoofed animals, the Serengeti is a pristine and unique sanctuary that will give you a glimpse into the world as it was in the beginning.

   • Relish the vastness of the Serengeti, the land that flows on forever, along with some of the best animal viewing that Africa has to offer.

   • In the afternoon, after another wonderful day full of extraordinary wildlife experiences, proceed towards the Ngorongoro Crater.

   Overnight stay and dinner at the crater rim at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.

4. Day 4 - Ngorongoro Crater

   • Explore Ngorongoro Crater, the main feature of which is a large, unbroken and unfolded volcanic caldera. The crater formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself around two to three million years ago. It is mostly open grassland with two small wooded areas dominated by Acacia xanthophloea. Game drives through the Ngorongoro Crater begin early in the morning in safari vehicles with pop-up roofs. The descent into the crater is a scenic beauty as you make your way through lush forests, home to numerous elephants and buffaloes.
   • As you reach the inside of the crater, marvelling at the incredible landscape around you, your guide will take you through the grassy crater floor, the unbelievable fever tree forest, the banks of Lake Magadi and the surrounding marshes.
   • Eat lunch served picnic style, surrounded by the natural wonders around you and the exceptional wildlife roaming freely, with which you share this extraordinary paradise.
   • After your picnic lunch, drive back to Arusha, where you will be dropped at your accommodation.
