Itinerary

1. Day 1 - Serengeti National Park

   • Meet and greet your Tanzania tour guide at your accommodation in Arusha early in the morning and begin the Serengeti National Park journey as the drive from Arusha lasts for a few hours.

   • Have your lunch on the way to the park or just before entering.

   • Continue with an afternoon game drive. This park covers 14,763 sq km, and the name Serengeti comes from the Maasai language and means "endless plains".

   • Return to the South to relish the species in a brief population explosion that produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the pilgrimage begins again. Depending on the season and the location of the migratory animals, your game drive will take you to various parts of the Serengeti.

   • Watch the beautiful sunset over the plains.

   • Continue to the Serengeti Osupuko Tented Camp.

   Stay overnight and enjoy dinner.

2. Day 2 - Serengeti National Park

   • Today, you will enjoy another day of wildlife viewing from a second location deep in the Serengeti. Home to hundreds of thousands of hoofed animals, the Serengeti is a pristine and unique sanctuary that will give you a glimpse into 'the world as it was in the beginning'. 

   • Relish the vastness of the Serengeti, commonly known as "the land that flows on forever", along with some of the best animal viewing that Africa has to offer. 

   • Continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro Crater in the afternoon with your Tanzanian safari guide.

   Stay overnight and enjoy dinner in the crater rim at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.

3. Day 3 - Ngorongoro Crater

   • Visit Ngorongoro Crater, the main feature of which is a large, unbroken and unfolded volcanic caldera. The crater formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself around two to three million years ago. It is mostly open grassland with two small wooded areas dominated by Acacia xanthophloea.
   • Go on game drives through the Ngorongoro Crater early in the morning in safari vehicles with pop-up roofs. The descent into the crater is scenic as you make your way through lush forests, home to numerous elephants and buffaloes.
   • Reach the inside of the crater, marvel at the incredible landscape around you as your guide will take you through the grassy crater floor, the unbelievable fever tree forest, the banks of Lake Magadi and the surrounding marshes.
   • Enjoy a lunch served picnic style, surrounded by the natural wonders around you as well as the exceptional wildlife roaming freely, with which you share this extraordinary paradise.
   • Drive back to Arusha, where you will be dropped at your accommodation.
