Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire

   • Meet your safari tour guide at the agreed-upon location and depart early from Arusha town. You will drive across a beautiful and scenic Masai Steppe towards Tarangire National Park ( 2 hours).
   • Stop for some last-minute shopping if you wish. Your driver will sort out the paperwork for you. 
   • Start the game drives from the gate in a bid to see as many animals and birds as possible. You expect to see elephants, elands, wildebeests, buffaloes, zebras, gerenuks, giraffes and a lot of birds. 
   • Have lunch at one of the picnic sites.
   • Drive to your Camp or Lodge in Manyara (MtowaMbu).

2. Day 2: Lake Manyara Tour

   • Begin your day at 8 AM in the morning with a pick up from your camp/Lodge at Manyara. Once everyone is aboard, you will head towards Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara National Park is an unspoiled paradise of groundwater forest fed by underground springs and teeming with wildlife such as elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and some of the largest baboon troupes in Africa.

   Overnight at Public camp/Tented Camp/Lodge at Manyara (full board).

3. Day 3: Manyara/Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater

   • Leave Manyara/Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater. You will arrive in Ngorongoro after 30 minutes. 
   • Descend over 600m to the crater to view the wildlife in it. The Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants
   • Visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.

4. Day 4: Ngorongoro – Serengeti (Central Seronera)

   • Have breakfast and head towards the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. 
   • Proceed to the Lobo area which is located just north of the Seronera area (central Serengeti National Park). The wildebeest migration, normally pass through the Lobo area. Lunch is taken at one of the Picnic sites most likely at the Naabi Hill Gate where you will also get the chance to stretch your legs as your guide sorts out the registration and relevant paperwork.
   • Break up the drive with some or both of the below activities:
     • Visit the Olduvai Gorge Museum. Sometimes known as the Cradle of Mankind, the Olduvai Gorge Museum commemorates some of the oldest evidence of human habitation ever found.
     • Visit the Maasai boma. You will visit one of the famous Maasai bomas, where you'll have the opportunity to witness (and participate in) traditional Maasai dance, tour an authentic Maasai village, and even do a little souvenir shopping at the local market. Both of the above activities are excluded from your tour (additional cost is needed).

5. Day 5: Serengeti (Seronera Area) Game Drive

   • Have breakfast and enjoy a full day game drive in the park. The area around Lobo and the Grumeti River has good resident game throughout the year. Non-migrating animals like elephant, buffalo, gazelle, zebra, lion, leopard and cheetah can be seen here all year round. 

   Overnight stay (Serengeti – Central Serengeti) full board.

6. Day 6: Central Serengeti (Seronera) – Arusha

   • Have breakfast at the camp. 
   • Depart for Seronera Airstrip and enjoy a game drive en-route.
   • Join a scheduled flight from Seronera airstrip to Arusha airport. 
   • Arrive at Arusha airport and meet your driver who will drive you to Arusha town.
   • Have lunch and head to the hotel or Airport.

   Overnight stay (Arusha – Arusha Town) (optional) full board.
