Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival Day at Kilimanjaro International Airport

   • Meet and greet the guide on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and then transfer Arusha in 1 hour. 

   • After arrival in Arusha, the driver will take you to the Mount Meru Hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

2. Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

   • After breakfast, leave early for the Tarangire National park, the third largest park in Tanzania.

   • Have a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park.

   • In the afternoon, take a break and have lunch in the park.

   Stay overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge.

3. Day 3: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

   • Start a safari to Serengeti National Park passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

   • Stop to visit a Maasai village.

   • Continue with a game drive to the endless plains of Serengeti.

   Dinner and overnight stay at Kubu Kubu Tented Camp.

4. Day 4: Serengeti National Park

   • Continues with a full-day game drive in order to discover more wonders of Serengeti. Serengeti is most famous for wildebeest migration.

   • Have lunch en-route.

    Dinner and overnight stay at Kubu Kubu Tented Camp.

5. Day 5: Serengeti National Park/Optional Hot Air Balloon Ride

   • Glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement) as you float silently above the awakening bush, spot different animals and enjoy the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages.

   • Do an after breakfast game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and is good for possible lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings.

   • Go to the visitor’s centre not far from the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites after the morning’s game drive. This nicely designed Centre offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area. The Centre also has a shop where cold drinks and snacks can be purchased, as well as a picnic area and information trail up and around a nearby kopje.

   • Enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the Centre in the shade of the giant acacia trees.

   • In the afternoon, follow the Kopjes Circuit which goes anti-clockwise around the Masai Kopjes, and usually attracts a number of lions and some formidably large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons – including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink.

6. Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

   • After breakfast, depart from the Serengeti for an encore game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater.

   • Descend with into the famed Ngorongoro Crater for viewing.

   Dinner and overnight at Kitela Safari Lodge.

7. Day 7: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara National Park

   • After breakfast at the lodge, we will proceed to Lake Manyara National Park. 

   Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Tortilis Camp.

8. Day 8: Depart to Kilimanjaro International Airport

   • After breakfast at the lodge in Ngorongoro, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.

    It’s been a fantastic trip, and you will have some incredible photos and stories to share with your friends and family back home.
