Itinerary

1. Day 1: May the Fun Begin - The Boat Safari Experience

   • Duteni will pick you up from the Dar Es Salaam Ferry (if coming from Zanzibar), Dar Es Salaam International Airport, or a Dar Es Salaam area hotel.
   • You will be transferred to Nyerere National Park from Dar es Salaam (about a 4-5 hour drive).
   • Arrive at Nyerere National Park, check into a lodge outside the park, have lunch, and rest.
   • You will have a briefing with the guide and then leave for your riverboat safari around 4 pm.
   • Enjoy a sundowner (if possible) on a sandbar on the Rufiji River.

   Afterwards, you will return to the hotel/camp for dinner, rest, and an overnight stay.

2. Day 2: A Day to Create Lifelong Memories - Full Day Game Drive

   • Depart early for an exciting full-day safari with a packed lunch out in the bush.
   • This is your chance to get closer to nature and the majestic wild animals. There is a good chance of seeing giraffes, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, impalas, warthogs, zebras, cape buffaloes, kudus, and countless other wild animals and birds. With some luck, you might encounter lions, leopards, etc.
   • The game drive will end early evening. You may see more animals as you head back to your hotel/camp.

3. Day 3: Oh the Wild - Another Full Day of Game Drive

   • Start early in the morning for another day of exciting experiences.
   • After breakfast, your guide will brief you on the game drive.
   • Enjoy an amazing game drive searching for the Big 4 and enjoying the majestic scenery of Nyerere National Park.
   • You can swim in a natural hot spring while on your game drive (no extra charge).
   • Have a hot lunch in the bush and return in time for dinner at your lodge.

4. Day 4: Get Ready and Get Closer to Wild Animals - Walking Safari

   • The day will start early, around 6 or 7 AM.
   • You can choose to have your breakfast before or after the walk. Coffee and biscuits will be offered before the walk.
   • You will leave with a guide and an armed guard to start your walking safari.
   • You have nothing to worry about as our team is very experienced in handling walking safaris.
   • Enjoy your exhilarating walk in the bush among the majestic animals.
   • The walking safari will last for approximately 2 hours.
   • Once the walk is over, you will return to your hotel for freshening up and breakfast.
   • Afterwards, you will depart for Dar Es Salaam by private transportation.
