    • Transfer to Ruaha National Park after being picked up from the hotel or airport in Iringa and eating breakfast.

    • Savour a full day of safari, starting with a sunrise game drive, breakfast in the bush, and driving until lunch at Mwagusi camp. The game viewing will concentrate on the great Ruaha riverbank, Mwagusi Sand River and Mdonya River, ending with a sunset wilderness game drive to sunset.

  • Day 5: Ruaha National Park expand_more

    • Eat breakfast in the camp and depart for game viewing with lunch in the bush and an amazing safari until sunset. Here, you will focus on the things you missed in the previous days to an exit gate.

    • Head out to Msembe Airstrip for departure to Zanzibar or Arusha.

Know before you go

  • Overview: Access is by air from Dar es Salaam to Msembe airport. Pick-up by a team of guides then drives to Ruaha in a luxurious and safety way. The accommodation in the park varies from budget to luxury camps and lodges but can also provide tents for camping activities. Here, you can see the park by a custom open-roof vehicle 4WD land cruiser and walking safaris along the great Ruaha River or hiking to the famous Kimilamatonge hill for 4-5 hours alternatively.
