DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN MOSHI/ ARUSHA
- Upon arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Kilimanjaro Winners and Safaris driver will warmly greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi. This vibrant town serves as a perfect base for your Kilimanjaro adventure.
- Depending on your arrival time, you can unwind and explore the local area.
- In the evening, you will meet your experienced Kilimanjaro Winners and Safaris mountain guide, who will provide a detailed briefing about your upcoming trek.
- This meeting is essential for discussing the itinerary, reviewing your gear, and addressing any questions or concerns you may have. It sets the tone for the exciting journey ahead.

DAY 2: MOSHI TO MACHAME GATE (1,800M/5,905FT) TO MACHAME CAMP (2,832M)
- After an early breakfast, you’ll gather with your Kilimanjaro crew, including porters and guides, for the start of your adventure.
- A two-hour drive takes you to Machame Gate, where you’ll check in and complete necessary registration procedures. This process not only ensures safety but also helps to manage the flow of climbers on the mountain.
- Once the formalities are complete, you'll begin your hike to Machame Camp, located about 11 km from the gate. The trek through the montane forest zone takes approximately 5-6 hours, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the lush surroundings.
- Upon arrival, your tent will be set up, and you can freshen up before enjoying tea and dinner, preparing for a restful night under the stars.

DAY 3: MACHAME CAMP TO SHIRA CAVE CAMP (3,750M)
- Wake up to a hearty breakfast before embarking on your hike to Shira Cave Camp. This day features a shorter trek of about 5 km, but the ascent is steep and includes some rock scrambling, providing a bit of a challenge.

- This trek is significant as it will test your body’s acclimatization capabilities at high altitude. The ascent to Lava Tower is particularly challenging, and you may experience mild altitude symptoms, which is common.

- After lunch at Lava Tower, you will descend to Barranco Camp (3,950 m) to rest and overnight.

- The ascent is demanding, with frigid temperatures and a steep path, but determination will drive you forward.
- As you make your way up, you’ll reach Stella Point (5,756 m), where you can take a brief rest and enjoy the stunning views. From there, it’s just a short, final push to Uhuru Peak.
