DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN MOSHI-KILIMANJARO
- Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Kilimanjaro Winners and Safaris driver will be ready to greet you and provide a seamless transfer to your hotel in Moshi.
- This vibrant town serves as an excellent base for your Kilimanjaro expedition, allowing you to acclimatize to the local environment.
- Depending on your arrival time, you can relax or take a brief stroll to explore the area.
- In the evening, you’ll meet your experienced mountain guide, who will conduct a comprehensive briefing about the upcoming trek. This important session will cover the itinerary, gear checks, and safety tips, helping to set the right expectations and prepare you for the adventure ahead.

DAY 2: MARANGU GATE TO MANDARA HUT (2,720M)
- The first day of your adventure begins with an early breakfast before setting off to Marangu Gate.
- After finalizing all logistics with your Kilimanjaro team, the transfer to the gate takes approximately one hour.
- Upon arrival, you’ll complete the necessary registration and safety checks before starting your hike to Mandara Hut. This initial trek takes you through a lush montane rainforest, where you can spot unique wildlife, including black and white colobus monkeys and vibrant birds.
- The hike to Mandara Hut typically takes about 3-4 hours, including a delightful lunch break at the Kisambioni picnic site, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings before settling in for your first night on the mountain.

DAY 3: MANDARA HUT TO HOROMBO HUT (3,720M)
- This day involves a longer trek, covering approximately 11 km to reach Horombo Hut, a journey that usually takes around 7-8 hours.
- You'll wake early, energized from your first night of rest, and enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting off. The trail leads you past the stunning Maundi Crater, providing scenic views and a chance to appreciate the unique flora and fauna of the region.
- As you ascend, you'll transition into the moorland zone, where you can enjoy lunch at a scenic spot along the way.

DAY 4: HOROMBO HUT (ACCLIMATIZATION DAY)
- This day is designated for acclimatization, which is essential for a successful summit attempt.
- After breakfast, your guide will lead you on a trek to either Zebra Rocks (3,980m) or Mawenzi Ridge (4,300m). This acclimatization walk allows your body to adjust to the altitude while providing spectacular views of the mountain and surrounding landscape.
- After enjoying this rewarding hike, you’ll return to Horombo Hut for lunch, giving your body the chance to recover and adapt.
- The afternoon is free for resting and hydration, as your body prepares for the upcoming challenges. This crucial acclimatization day significantly enhances your chances of reaching the summit comfortably and safely.

DAY 5: HOROMBO HUT TO KIBO HUT (4,720M)
- Following your acclimatization day, you’ll start early on day four, embarking on a hike to Kibo Hut. This trek covers about 9 km and usually takes 5-6 hours.
- As you make your way through the moorland zone and into the alpine desert, you'll notice the landscape becoming more rugged and the vegetation sparser.
- The views along the way are breathtaking, with Kibo Peak looming ahead. A well-timed lunch on the trail will help keep your energy levels high as you continue the ascent.
- Arriving at Kibo Hut, you’ll have some time to rest and prepare for the significant challenge of the summit attempt later that night, including a crucial briefing with your guide.

DAY 6: SUMMIT DAY - KIBO HUT TO UHURU PEAK (5,895M) TO HOROMBO HUT
- This is the highlight of your trek—the summit day!
- You'll awaken around midnight for a warm drink and light snack before starting the ascent to Uhuru Peak. The climb begins steeply towards Gillman’s Point (5,681m), and you’ll need to pace yourself and listen to your body as you ascend. The conditions can be challenging, but the goal is within reach.
- After reaching Gillman’s Point, you'll continue along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
- Celebrate your accomplishment as you take in the breathtaking views and watch the sunrise.
- The descent back to Kibo Hut and then to Horombo Hut will be long, covering approximately 21 km, but your guides will expertly manage the pace.

DAY 7: HOROMBO HUT TO MARANGU GATE - RETURN TO MOSHI
- On your final day, you'll enjoy breakfast before beginning the descent to Marangu Gate. The trek back covers about 19 km, but the downhill path typically feels less strenuous than the previous days.
- As you make your way back, take time to reflect on your incredible journey and the achievements you’ve made along the way.
- Once you arrive at the gate, you’ll sign out and receive your summit certificate, marking your successful climb.
- Celebrate with a well-deserved lunch and a victory celebration with your team before returning to your hotel in Moshi, where you can relax and share stories of your unforgettable Kilimanjaro adventure.
