Itinerary

1. Day 1: Zanzibar to Selous National Park

   • Early Morning
     Arrange a hotel pick-up in Zanzibar very early in the morning.
     Transfer to the airport for your flight to Selous National Park.
   • Morning
     Upon arrival at Mtemere Airstrip, meet your guide and driver.
     Begin a morning game drive exploring the diverse wildlife and landscapes.
     Enjoy breakfast around 10:00 AM during the game drive.
   • Midday
     Continue the game drive until lunchtime.
     Stop for lunch at a scenic location within the park.
   • Afternoon
     Proceed with a slow, relaxed game drive in the afternoon, observing animals and scenery.
     Take part in a sunset boat safari on the river, lasting approximately 2 hours.
     After the boat safari, your driver will pick you up and transfer you to your accommodation.
     Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp inside or near the park.

2. Day 2: Selous National Park Game Drive and Departure to Zanzibar

   • Early Morning
     Have an early breakfast at the lodge or camp.
   • Morning
     Embark on a game drive through game-rich areas such as Lake Manze, Siwandu, Nzelekela, and Tagalala.
     Observe a variety of wildlife including elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalos, zebras, and possibly rare African wild dogs.
   • Midday
     Stop for a picnic lunch in a beautiful spot with clear views of the park.
   • Afternoon
     Continue sightseeing and exploring the African bush after lunch.
     Return to Mtemere Airstrip in the afternoon for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar.
     Upon arrival in Zanzibar, transfer back to your hotel or next destination.
