  • Day 1: Arrival in Arusha expand_more
    • Arrive in Arusha and head to the Outpost Lodge, which is a beautiful lodge located on the lower slopes of Mount Meru and is a perfect place to prepare for the adventure.

    • Gather in the evening at 5:30 pm for a pre-safari briefing and an equipment check.

    Dinner and overnight at Outpost Lodge: Full board.

  • Day 2: Game Drive in Tarangire National Park expand_more
    • Drive to Tarangire National Park for excellent game viewing. Tarangire is a small park which offers some excellent sights. Generally, in the dry seasons, Tarangire comes alive as wildlife and birdlife congregate on the Tarangire River, which is a permanent source of water.

    • Spend the night in a lodge.

  • Day 3: Game Drive in Lake Manyara National Park expand_more
    • Drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game drives. This is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks but still offers a rewarding and diverse safari experience. The lakeshore at Manyara teems with birdlife, and while you are looking for the birds, you might spot one of the elusive tree-climbing lions.

    • There are a surprising number of other large mammals and the striking cliffs on the Rift escarpment form a dramatic backdrop.

    • In the late afternoon, make a short journey from the park to your lodge.

  • Day 4: Local Tribes Tindiga/Hadzabe and Bushman Visit in Lake Eyasi expand_more
    • Post Breakfast, depart for Lake Eyasi safari to meet up with the elusive Hadzabe tribe, from whom you'll learn more about their fascinating culture.

    • Head for a picnic lunch, then take the Dagota village tour 

    • Head back in the evening.

  • Day 5: Hadzabe Tour and Proceed to Serengeti National Park expand_more
    • Start off early with your bushman guide to meet a group of resident Hadzabe people.

    • Enjoy the Hadzabe Tour walking into the bush, with the only hunter-gatherers remaining in the East African region. The Hadzabe speak a click-based language and move their encampments with the seasonal movements of the wildlife. Your guide is a member of the group and teaches you more about how they hunt, track wildlife, make fire and even take honey from bees nests before introducing you to his people and explaining a little more about the customs and the way of life.

    • Then proceed to Serengeti National Park with en-route game drive.

  • Day 6: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park expand_more
    • Take another full day of game viewing in this wonderful park. You are advised to wake up early to make the most of your time. 

    • Spend time at the Hippo pool watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water, coexisting alongside the crocodiles.

    • During the migration season, you can spot predators in the middle of their hunt, surrounded by wildebeest and zebras.

    • Journey from the wide-open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of wildlife.

    • From the top, you can look out across the vast grasslands of the Serengeti. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide you with the ultimate in game viewing, as well as glimpses of interesting birdlife, from the elegant secretary birds to the flightless ostrich.

    • Return to your special tented camp for the night.

  • Day 7: Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater expand_more
    • Have a final game drive in the Serengeti before heading back into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

    • Ngorongoro special due to the fact that it is a Conservation Area, not a National Park. he whole area is managed for both the animals and the local Maasai people, who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife. During the drive in Ngorongoro, you'll get a glimpse of the Maasai way of life.

    • After stopping at the entrance gate, to learn more about this fascinating volcanic landscape, drive around the rim of the Crater itself. From here we can look down and see the herd of wildebeest or buffalos.

    • Descend into the crater. The crater walls provide a natural sanctuary for the animals, which means there is plenty to see: lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos and leopards (if you are lucky). The only animal you won’t see in here is a giraffe, whose long legs are unable to cope with the steeps sides of the crater.

    •  In the late afternoon, travel back to Arusha via Karatu.

  • Day 8: Ngorongoro to Arusha expand_more
    • Utilize this morning to relax after your great northern safari or explore the Maasai market in Arusha.

    • Head to the Kilimanjaro International Airport. (JRO)

  • We give you an opportunity, usually at the end of your safari, either one or two full days to take part in a programme that is making a positive mark on the local community. This could be helping in building classrooms, a health clinic, teaching life skills, or simply bringing in donations to help school children.
