4-Day Mikumi National Park Safari from Dar es Salaam with Walks

• Guests from Zanzibar will arrive on a flight at 06:50 hours in Dar es Salaam.

• Depart at 07:30 hours for Mikumi National Park by 4x4 vehicle.

• Arrive in the park after about 4 hours, depending on traffic on the highway.

• Lunch will be in Morogoro Town before continuing the drive to Mikumi National Park.

• After arrival, proceed for an evening game drive with your Tanzanian safari guide.

• Enjoy sunset views in the park, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Mikumi Wildlife Camp.

• After breakfast, proceed for a full-day game drive in the park. This day will be dedicated to discovering the Mkata plains for their incredible concentration of animals - possibly the biggest outside Serengeti National Park. Spot various animals here, including lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and impalas, to mention a few.

Dinner and an overnight stay at Mikumi Wildlife Camp.

• After breakfast, tread on the same land as buffaloes with your Tanzanian safari guide.

• Leave the jeep behind and explore the wilderness on foot. The tour will be led by an armed ranger for security in the bush. Here, walking safaris are designed to look for small things that are often missed while observing from the car. Spot various animal tracks, animal droppings, and small insects like dung beetles, and take in the various smells of plants along the way. This is the best way to put your senses on alert while being out in nature.

• Later, return to the lodge and then proceed for an afternoon game drive to look for more sightings of animals and birds.

Dinner and an overnight stay at Mikumi Wildlife Camp.

• After an early breakfast, begin with a sunrise game drive in Mikumi National Park.

• With picnic lunches, continue game drives until the afternoon.

• Drive back to Dar es Salaam city. Arrival is expected at 17:00 hours.

• Get dropped off at your hotel in Dar es Salaam city.
