Day 2 - A day in Serengeti National Park
- Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will get to spend the entire day in search of wildlife to spot all the BIG 5. The Migration of wildebeests is also a unique phenomenon in this Park too. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back.
- In the evening you will drive back to the campsite for dinner and overnight.
-
Day 3 - Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
- On this day, after breakfast, you will have a little bit of game in the morning in Serengeti.
- After lunch, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation area for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Simba campsite or similar.
-
Day 4 - Ngorongoro Crater tour to Arusha town
- After breakfast, you will head straight to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a full day game tour in the Crater. The main feature of the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority is the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. The crater, formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself two to three million years ago, is 610 metres (2,000 feet) deep, and its floor covers 260 square kilometres (100 square miles). Estimates of the height of the original volcano range from 4,500 to 5,800 metres (14,800 to 19,000 feet) high. The crater floor is 1,800 metres (5,900 feet) above sea level. The crater was voted by Seven Natural Wonders as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa in Arusha, Tanzania, in February 2013. The Ngorongoro volcano was active from about 2.45 to 2 million years ago.
- Later in the evening, you will begin your journey back to Arusha for a drop off at your hotel.
