Full-Day Itinerary: Selous Game Reserve Safari from Zanzibar
- Begin the day with an early pick-up at 05:30 AM from your hotel in Zanzibar.
Transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your scheduled flight.
Depart from Zanzibar Airport at 06:30 AM with a flight to Selous Game Reserve (Mtemere Airstrip or similar).
Arrive at Selous Airstrip at approximately 07:30 AM and meet your professional safari guide.
Begin your game drive at 08:00 AM through Selous Game Reserve.
Explore the diverse landscapes including open savannah, woodlands, and the Rufiji River area.
Search for iconic African wildlife such as elephants, lions, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species.
Continue the game drive until around 14:00 PM, maximizing opportunities for excellent wildlife viewing and photography.
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the reserve or at a nearby safari camp at approximately 13:00 PM.
Depart for the airstrip at 14:30 PM to prepare for your return flight.
Board the flight from Selous at 15:30 PM for the journey back to Zanzibar.
Arrive at Zanzibar Airport at approximately 16:30 PM.
