Day 1: Airport to Hotel in Arusha/Moshi town expand_more
- Meet and greet at the airport.
- Transfer to the lodge/hotel in Arusha/Moshi town.

Day 2: Machame Gate (1800m) to Machame Camp (3000m) expand_more
Transfer from the hotel in Moshi to the Machame Gate, and get introduced to your guide and porters.
Once registration is done, start the climb with a picnic lunch through rainforest areas for approximately 4 to 5 hours to arrive at the Machame Huts.
Later in the afternoon, walk up to a little higher altitude for acclimatisation.
Return to Machame Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Machame Camp (3000m) to Shira Camp (3800m) expand_more
After breakfast, start climbing through the short Savannah forest and other vegetation for approximately 4 to 5 hours.
After a picnic lunch enroute, arrive before afternoon at the Shira Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Shira Camp (3800m) to Barranco Camp (3950m) expand_more
After breakfast, do a slow walk through the semi-glacier and sandy areas with a picnic lunch for 3 to 4 hrs.
Arrive at the Barranco Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Barranco Camp (3950m) to Barafu Camp (4600m) expand_more
After breakfast, climb through glaciers, with a picnic lunch, for approximately 4 to 5 hours.
Arrive at the Barafu Hut for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Barafu Camp (4600m) to Stella Point (5750m) - Uhuru Peak (5895m) expand_more
- Get up with an early wake-up call at around 01:00 am for preparation and light breakfast before starting the final ascent to the summit, i.e. either the Stella Point that can be reached in approximately 5 to 6 hrs; followed by a further ascent to the Uhuru Peak that can be reached in another 45 minutes.
- After a short rest at Barafu hut, descend via the Gilmans Point down to Mweka hut for an hour's rest and breakfast.
- Descend down for dinner and overnight stay at Mweka camp.

Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Moshi expand_more
After breakfast, make a final descent to Mweka gate and thereafter say goodbye to your guide/porters and connect to private transfers to Moshi town for the night stay at a hotel B/B.

Day 8: Final Depature expand_more
Get transferred to the bus stand/shuttle terminal/airport.

What to bring
- Mountain Clothing:
- Warm, windproof jacket with hood
- Waterproof jacket and over trousers
- Walking trousers, long sleeve, shirts and pullovers
- Warm underwear, Good comfortable walking boots
- Training shoes (for the evening)
- Gaiters
- Sun hat
- Warm hat or balaclava
- Scarf
- Mountain Equipment:
- Good warm sleeping bag
- Water bottle (1 to 2 litres)
- Water purification tablets/solution (and filter)
- Wash kit and towel, toilet paper
- First aid kit (including blister plaster, headache tablets, suncream)
- Personal medication
- Torch, sunglasses, walking poles
Know before you go
- Passenger Information:
- Passengers should bring only duffle bags for safaris (not suitcases).
- All the passengers must have an Identification Card/Passport with them for internal flights.
- Baggage on domestic flights is strictly limited to 15 kgs per person (including hand luggage). Any excess baggage will be charged by the airline at check-in.
- Passengers arriving in Tanzania may be asked to present a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.
- Tourist Visa will be obtained at the entry points, but it is advisable to double-check before travelling to Tanzania.
