Itinerary

1. Day 1: Tarangire National Park

   After breakfast, begin your journey to Tarangire National Park for an exciting game drive. A quick stop in Arusha Town allows for any last-minute purchases before heading to the park. Along the way, you'll pass through the picturesque Masai steppe, with its charming shopping centres and villages. Tarangire is renowned for its massive Baobab trees and impressive elephant population. During your game drive, you can expect to encounter herds of buffalo, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, hippos, baboons, and various antelope species. Birdwatchers will delight in the park's rich avian diversity, with over 400 recorded bird species, including rare finds like the Ash Staling, Great Kudu, and fringed Eared Oryx. The park also supports a thriving predator population, with lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and the elusive leopard among its inhabitants. Tarangire is an integral part of the annual migratory cycle, connected with the Tarangire Lake Manyara ecosystem, where thousands of elephants, wildebeest, and zebra make their way.

2. Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

   After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park & start the game drive after check-in. Lake Manyara National Park is placed at a dramatic location & it is endowed with a lot of underground streams, which makes it green throughout the year. At the base of the Great East African Rift Valley, the park has beautiful overlapping habitats, hence sporting a large number of wildlife, which include a high concentration of baboons found nowhere else in the world, beautiful flocks of flamingos, hippos, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra & many antelopes. Lake Manyara's tree-climbing lion is among the beautiful features of this park. In the afternoon, drive to Lake Eyasi and visit the Datoga tribe & the blacksmith. Late afternoon, you will walk along the Lakeshore while watching the sunset, then drive to Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge for dinner & overnight.

3. Day 3: Lake Eyasi to Serengeti National Park

   On this day, embark on an early morning hunting expedition with the Bushmen, an indigenous tribe near Lake Eyasi. Witness their survival skills and traditional way of life, offering a glimpse into an ancient culture. After breakfast, we journey to Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As we traverse the Great Rift Valley, capture stunning views of the Ngorongoro Crater rim. Visit a Maasai village for a cultural encounter, interact with the warriors, learn about their customs, and experience their vibrant dances. Entering the Serengeti, the vast plains and abundant wildlife will captivate you. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Naabi Hills Gate or the Copjes before proceeding to the Central Serengeti. Look out for the Great Wildebeest Migration during the afternoon game drive. Finally, settle into the lodge within the park for dinner and a well-deserved rest. This day promises unforgettable cultural experiences and wildlife encounters in the heart of untamed Africa.

4. Day 4-5: Serengeti National Park

   Spend two precious days in the Great Serengeti. On these days of your seven days at Tanzania Lodge Safari (if you wish), as early as 06:30 with a packed breakfast box & lunch box, you will do an early morning game drive in the endless rolling plains of Serengeti. Early morning game drive can allow you to spot cat families on the road as they avoid morning mist. You may also expect to see other nocturnal predators coming back from their long night of hunting or a group of lionesses organizing morning ambush or eating along the road after you break for breakfast in the bush. Serengeti National Park is the scene of the Great Wildebeest Migration so that they will be in Serengeti. Your safari driver guide will have already known, so the early start will take you straight to where they are & spend much time with the herds, anticipating seeing animal actions like eating, fighting, and even killing. You may also expect to spot other predators like leopards, hyenas, cheetahs & jackals. Herds of buffalo, elephants, giraffe warthog, zebra & many antelopes can also be spotted wandering around the plains of Serengeti. Packed lunch can be served at the picnic site or in the bush. This is a full-day game drive in Serengeti, where you will return back to your camp before or during sunset for dinner & overnight.

5. Day 6: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

   You will wake up at 5.45 a.m. for breakfast and see the sunrise inside Serengeti. After breakfast, you will do an early morning game drive up to 11:30 a.m., then head back to the lodge for the hot lunch. Afterwards, pack your stuff in the jeep. After finishing your hot lunch, you will proceed with a game drive in Serengeti while heading to Ngorongoro Crater in Rhino Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

6. Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater

   After breakfast, we will depart from the Lodge with a picnic lunch and descend into the incredible Ngorongoro Crater. Here we will explore the magnificent world of diversity, surrounded by the imposing walls that encircle the reserve. It is possible to see all of Africa's Big Five within the crater, among many other wildlife, including hundreds of bird species. Enjoy a full day in the crater before departing for Arusha in the late afternoon and your transfer to the airport.
