Day 2: Tarangire National Park
- Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will depart to Tarangire National Park. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In some places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands, and lush groundwater forest. The park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet.
- After lunch and an extensive game drive, we will head for our luxury partner lodges near Tarangire for dinner and your overnight stay.
Destination: Tarangire National Park
Accommodation: Maramboi Tented Lodge
-
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
- At the crack of dawn, following your breakfast, we will commence our journey to Lake Manyara National Park, a pristine haven renowned for its profusion of avian species and its distinctive tree-climbing lions. The park's western perimeter is defined by the striking western escarpment of the Rift Valley, while the eastern side is bordered by the shallow, alkaline Lake Manyara. This expansive lake undergoes fluctuations in size with the changing seasons, drawing in a multitude of flamingos during the rainy periods. The name "Manyara" stems from the Maasai term 'emanyara,' which references a commonly used plant employed in constructing protective enclosures around family homesteads, known as "bomas." The park's landscape is a medley of varied vegetation, spanning from savannah to evergreen forest.
- As we explore the park, you might encounter giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and, if luck is on your side, lions luxuriating in the tree canopies.
- Following a satisfying lunch and an extensive game drive, we'll proceed to our esteemed partner lodges in Karatu for a sumptuous dinner and your accommodation for the night.
Destination: Lake Manyara National Park
Accommodation: Kitela Lodge
-
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
- After early breakfast, you will descend down the crater which is almost 600m deep. The Crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve that is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. The drive down into the Crater is an adventure in itself and when you reach the Crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands.
- After lunch and an extensive game drive inside the crater, we'll head for our luxury lodge at the rim of the crater for dinner and your overnight stay.
Destination: Ngorongoro Crater
Accommodation: Ngorongoro Lion's Paw Camp
-
Day 5-6: Serengeti National Park
- At the break of dawn, following your morning meal, we will set off for Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is a truly awe-inspiring sight, renowned for its expansive open grasslands that provide exceptional opportunities for observing wildlife. Serving as Tanzania's oldest national park, the Serengeti also ranks among the planet's most ancient ecosystems. Its climate and vegetation have remained virtually untouched for countless millennia. While the Serengeti boasts a wealth of diverse wildlife, its most celebrated feature is arguably the annual Great Migration. Enormous herds of wildebeest, accompanied by sizable gatherings of zebras and antelope, follow a yearly cycle in perpetual pursuit of fresh grazing. The precise timing of this migration is intricately tied to the annual patterns of rainfall.
- After a satisfying lunch and an extensive bout of game viewing, we'll proceed to our partnered tented lodges, where a delicious dinner and your accommodations for the night await.
- You'll have the privilege of spending two nights in this remarkable location.

Day 7-8-9: Explore the Beauty of Zanzibar
- After breakfast, you will head straight to the airstrip and depart to Zanzibar Airport ZNZ and through (Stone Town) whereby your flight can be arranged at an extra cost before travelling to the northern coast of Zanzibar known as Nungwi, which has the kind of white coral sand that seems to glow even after nightfall.
- For its entire bustle, it can still feel secluded. Nungwi’s expansive coastline is wide open for swimming and snorkelling in some of Africa’s most pristine, reef-rich waters. It’s one of the rare Zanzibari beaches untroubled by severe undulations of high and low tides, making it perfect for all-day water activities.
- There are plenty of activities on offer -- walking tours, sunset cruises, diving excursions, and parasailing, to name a few -- but all it really takes is a sunset sighting of traditional dhow boats bobbing in the sea to be captured by this enchanting African beach. You will spend three nights in this incredible place, indulging in various activities of choice.
