Itinerary

1. Day 1- Kampala - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

   • After breakfast, your guide will meet you in Kampala and shortly brief you about your safari before you embark on the approximately 9-hour drive to Bwindi forest. 
   • Along the way, stop at the equator to take photographs and purchase some crafts.
   • Continue and have lunch in Mbarara. 
   • Eat lunch and proceed with your journey to Kabale through the beautiful scenery and rolling hills with terraces.

   Have dinner and overnight.

2. Day 2- Bwindi Gorilla Tracking & Community Visit

   • Enjoy your breakfast and set out from your lodge with packed lunch as you head to the park headquarters at 7 am for briefing before you embark on Gorilla tracking in the thick mist Bwindi forest. 
   • Then, proceed for tracking, which takes between 2 to 6 hours, mainly depending on how far the gorillas go. Trekkers are allowed to spend one hour with the gentle giants in this time you could watch them play, feed, and take enough photos. 
   • Later, return to the lodge and relax for some time.
   • Afterwards, go for a community walk in the Batwa community during the evening. 

   Enjoy dinner and overnight at the lodge.

   Meal Plan; Full Board Note: Endeavor to carry enough drinking water, waterproof camera, rain coats, hats, sunglasses, walking/hiking shoes, insect repellent, among others.

3. Day 3- Bwindi - Lake Bunyonyi

   • Before embarking on gorilla tracking, wake up early enough and have breakfast, carry packed lunch from the lodge and follow the same procedure used on the previous day. However, you will track another gorilla group different from what you tracked the last day. 
   • After tracking, drive to Lake Bunyonyi, which is home to 29 islands and an excellent place for birds. Its waters are Bilharzia free and safe for swimming. 

   Have your dinner and stay overnight.

4. Day 4- Departure

   • Enjoy a delicious morning breakfast, and set out for a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi, where you will go around various islands with sights of terraced hills, birds, and alike. 
   • Afterwards, start off your journey to Kampala having lunch en-route.
   • Reach by late evening and move to your Kampala hotel or transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
