Itinerary

1. Day 1: Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi National Park:                                                                                                                         Pickup from your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 0600hours depart from Dar es Salaam, drive directly to Mikumi by 4x4 safari Jeep, arrive in the Park after 4 hours, depending on the traffic on the highway, lunch at Morongoro Town, then drive into Mikumi National Park. Game drive till late in the evening, you will be able to see many animals like elephants, giraffes, Lions, and many more. Mikumi National Park provides an excellent opportunity to view a diverse number of animals and birds in a short period of time without too much driving around, dinner, and overnight at Camp Bastian Mikumi Lodge.

   Day 2: Mikumi National Park Full-Day Game Drive:                                                                                                                      After breakfast, full day game drive in the park, see the beauty of Mikumi National Park. The wildlife viewing experience in this park can be experienced right upon entering the park, where you can encounter Baboons, Zebras, and Impalas, just to mention a few. You will have the opportunity to view the unique Mikumi Giraffes that naturalists say seem to be a crossbreed between reticulated and Maasai Giraffes. Lions can be easily spotted in this park. Game drive around the park trail leads you to the hippo pool, which is the most visited during the late afternoons as the distant setting sun and the bobbing hippo heads create perfect pictures there, after spotting the wallowing Buffalos at the Mkata flood plains and Elephants congregating near the water hole, drive back to your lodge, dinner and overnight at Camp Bastian Mikumi Lodge.

   Day 3: Mikumi National Park to Morogoro Town: 

   After early breakfast, sunrise game drive in Mikumi National Park, having a chance to see many animals, for example, Buffaloes, Lions, Elephants, Zebras, Antelopes, Wildebeests, and many more. Then with picnic lunch, game drive till afternoon, then drive back to Morogoro Town and drop off at your hotel.
