Itinerary

1. Day 1: Drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

   • Meet your professional Tanzanian tours guide/driver in Arusha town, who will deliver a short briefing about the safari.

   • Travel to the Lake Manyara National Park which will be a two and a half hour drive for game viewing with packed lunch.

   • Visit the shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. 

   • Spot the wide variety of animals that the park’s varied habitat attracts, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos who are attracted by the algae in the lake.

   Dinner and overnight as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.

2. Day 2: Visit Ngorongoro Crater and return to Arusha

   • After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro National Park for a full day game-drive.

   • Descend 600 meters below sea level into this magnificent crater for a game drive.

   • The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded wildlife areas in the world.

   • Find and observe the vast variety of animals that inhabit the region, which include herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants. 

   • Another attraction of this picturesque national park is the dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot.

   • Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater.

   Travel back to Arusha, where the Tanzanian safari ends.
