Description
Mount Kilimanjaro's little sister stands at 4,566m compared to 5,895m but is still an impressive freestanding volcano, which makes an incredible four day climb to the top. Embark on this less crowded, excellent birdlife and one of the most underrated hikes in East Africa!
Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Mariakamba Hut
After breakfast, depart Arusha at about 8:30 am.
Drive to Momella gate.
Make payment and start the climb with a picnic lunch to the first hut called Miriakamaba hut.
Dinner and overnight at Miriakamba Hut.

Day 2: Mariakamba to Saddle Hut
After breakfast, proceed with a climb to the second hut called Saddle. This is too steep part compared to the first part.
During the afternoon, you can decide to attempt climbing the little Meru peak and back.
Dinner and overnight at Saddle Hut.

Day 3: Saddle Hut to Summit to Saddle Hut
Wake up in the middle of the night and have a cup of tea before starting to attempt the big Meru peak.
Proceed to summit crossing rocky path and back to Saddle hut for full breakfast.
Spend the rest of the day resting.
Lunch, dinner and overnight at Saddle hut.

Day 4: Saddle Hut to Arusha
Leave Saddle hut and descend down to Momella Gate via first hut (Miriakamba).
Transfer to Arusha/Moshi.
