Day 1: Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp
- Depart from Moshi early in the morning and drive for approximately 3 hours through scenic mountainside villages to Kilimanjaro National Park Gate.
Wait patiently for park permits while observing the busy preparations of other climbing crews.
Begin the trek through beautiful rainforest with winding trails.
Learn from your guide about the local flora, fauna, and wildlife.
Wear gaiters and use trekking poles to manage muddy and slippery trail conditions.
Reach Mti Mkubwa Camp at an elevation of 2785m after trekking 4.8km over 3 to 4 hours.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira I Camp
- Wake up to a hearty breakfast and prepare to leave the rainforest behind.
Trek steadily uphill for 17km over 6 to 8 hours through moorland terrain.
Enjoy wide views as you approach the rim of the Shira Plateau.
Experience cooler temperatures as elevation increases to 3895m.
Settle in at Shira I Camp for overnight rest.

Day 3: Shira 2 Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp
- Start the day trekking 10.1km over 5 to 7 hours in semi-desert conditions.
Ascend east up a ridge passing the junction towards Kibo Peak.
Reach the Lava Tower at 4650m, also called the Shark’s Tooth, for important acclimatization.
Descend from the Lava Tower to Barranco Camp at 3986m for overnight stay.

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
- Begin the day trekking 5.2km over 4 to 5 hours through alpine desert.
Climb the steep and challenging Barranco Wall while observing the agility of your crew.
Continue to Karanga Valley and the junction connecting to the Mweka Trail.
Arrive at Karanga Camp at 4034m and rest for the night.

Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
- Trek 3.3km over 4 to 5 hours through alpine desert terrain.
Ascend steadily to Barafu Camp at 4662m, completing the South Circuit.
Enjoy breathtaking views of the summit from various angles.
Eat an early dinner and prepare for the demanding summit night.

Day 6: Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp
- Wake early between midnight and 2 a.m. to begin the most challenging ascent.
Trek 5km uphill over 5 to 7 hours through glaciers and snow-capped terrain.
Reach Stella Point on the crater rim and enjoy a magnificent sunrise.
Continue for 1 hour to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5895m.
Celebrate the achievement and take photos.
Begin the steep descent of 11.5km over 5 to 6 hours down to Mweka Camp at 3090m.
Stop briefly at Barafu for lunch and rest.
Use gaiters and trekking poles to manage loose gravel and volcanic ash terrain.
Rest well at Mweka Camp for your last night on the mountain.

Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Moshi
- After breakfast, participate in a ceremony of appreciation and bonding with your crew.
Descend 9.1km over 3 to 4 hours through wet, muddy rainforest trails.
Receive your summit certificates at Mweka Gate.
Meet a vehicle at Mweka Village and transfer approximately 30 minutes back to your hotel in Moshi.
Enjoy a long overdue hot shower, dinner, and celebrate your successful climb.
