Itinerary

1. Day 1:Arrival in Arusha

   • Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport.
   • Meet and greet by a Jairos Adventure representative.
   • Transfer to your hotel in Arusha.
   • Time to relax and prepare for the safari, depending on arrival time.
   • Arusha serves as the main gateway to northern Tanzania safaris.

   Overnight stay in Arusha.
   Main Destination: Arusha City
   Accommodation: Outpost Arusha Hotel

2. Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

   • Breakfast at the hotel.
   • Pick up by your professional safari guide.
   • Drive to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2.5 hours on tarmac roads).
   • Game drive through Tarangire, named after the Tarangire River.
   • Spot large elephant families, giraffes, bushbuck, hartebeest, and predators such as lions and leopards.
   • Observe ancient baobab trees and exceptional birdlife.
   • Picnic lunch at a designated site inside the park.
   • Afternoon game drive in Tarangire National Park.
   • Drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
   • Main Destination: Tarangire National Park

3. Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

   • Breakfast at the lodge.
   • Drive into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
   • Stop at a viewpoint overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater.
   • Continue towards Serengeti National Park via the southern sector.
   • Enjoy a picnic lunch en route.
   • Game drive upon entering Serengeti National Park.
   • Experience vast open plains and abundant wildlife.

   Overnight at a tented camp in Central Serengeti.

   Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
   Accommodation: Central Serengeti Camp

4. Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

   • Early morning game drive (optional).
   • Return to camp for breakfast.
   • Morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park.
   • Spot impala, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
   • Option for a full day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park.
   • Alternatively, return to camp for lunch and rest.
   • Evening game drive across the Serengeti plains.

   Dinner and overnight at the camp.

5. Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

   • Breakfast at the camp.
   • Scenic drive towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
   • Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive.
   • Observe wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, hippos, and over 500 bird species.
   • Opportunity to spot the endangered black rhinoceros.
   • Picnic lunch inside the crater.
   • Ascend the crater in the afternoon.
   • Drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

6. Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park and Departure

   • Breakfast at the lodge.
   • Drive to Lake Manyara National Park.
   • Game drive through groundwater forest, grasslands, and lake shore.
   • Spot baboons, elephants, and tree climbing lions.
   • Observe flamingos and diverse birdlife along the alkaline lake.
   • Picnic lunch inside the park.
   • Final game drive in the afternoon.
   • Drop off at Arusha, Arusha Airport, or Kilimanjaro International Airport.
