Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

   • Begin the day with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha.

   • Meet your safari guide and chef before departing on a scenic 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park.

   • Explore the park's unique ecosystem, known for its ancient baobab trees and the largest population of elephants in Tanzania.

   • Observe elephant herds in their natural habitat, along with giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and antelopes.

   • Watch for predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs during your game drive.

   • Visit the Tarangire River picnic site for lunch while enjoying sweeping views and surrounding wildlife.

   • Continue your game drive in the late afternoon.

   • Proceed to Ngedere Lodges & Camps for camping and an overnight stay.

2. Day 2: Mto wa Mbu to Central Serengeti (Seronera)

   • Wake up early and depart from Mto wa Mbu after breakfast.

   • Enter the Serengeti via the Naabi Hill Gate and proceed to the Seronera region, the heart of the park.

   • Enjoy a packed lunch upon arrival in the Serengeti.

   • Embark on an afternoon game drive in Seronera, rich with big cats and known for predator-prey interactions.

   • Watch the sunset over the endless plains as animals begin their evening routines.

   • Arrive at Seronera Campsite for dinner and overnight camping.

3. Day 3: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater Rim

   • Begin with an early morning game drive to catch predators in action and observe herds grazing the open plains.

   • Return to camp for a hearty lunch and begin packing.

   • Continue with an en-route game drive as you exit the Serengeti.

   • Drive approximately 2 hours to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

   • Arrive at Simba Campsite located on the crater rim and settle in for the evening.

   • Enjoy views over the Ngorongoro Crater as you have dinner under the stars.

4. Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

   • Wake up early and descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast.

   • Discover a dense concentration of wildlife within the caldera, including the Big Five—lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant.

   • Marvel at the diverse habitats ranging from grassland to acacia woodland.

   • Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the hippo pool.

   • Ascend from the crater and begin the return journey to Arusha in the afternoon.

   • Arrive at Outpost Lodge in Arusha for a restful night.

5. Day 5: Arusha to Materuni Waterfalls and Coffee Tour – Airport Transfer

   • Depart Arusha in the morning and drive toward the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro.

   • Hike through lush forest trails to reach the majestic Materuni Waterfalls.

   • Swim in the cool, natural pools beneath the falls.

   • Visit a nearby coffee farm and engage in a hands-on experience of traditional coffee making.

   • Learn about the local Chagga culture and agricultural practices.

   • Enjoy a traditional Chagga lunch.

   • Drive back to Arusha in the afternoon and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure.
