Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arusha to Arusha National Park

   • Start your day early and drive from Arusha to Arusha National Park, which is approximately a 45-minute drive. Upon arrival, proceed to the Momella Gate for park registration.
   • Embark on a game drive through the park, exploring the various habitats it offers. Arusha National Park is known for its diverse flora and fauna, including giraffes, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, and various primate species such as colobus monkeys and baboons. Enjoy a packed lunch at one of the designated picnic sites within the park.
   • Take a guided walking safari with an armed ranger to discover the park’s hidden treasures on foot. This allows you to get closer to nature and observe smaller wildlife, birds, and plants.
   • Visit the beautiful Momella Lakes in the late afternoon, which are home to numerous waterbirds such as flamingos and pelicans. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Mount Meru in the background.
   • In the evening, depart from Arusha National Park and transfer to your accommodation near Lake Manyara National Park.

2. Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park & Departure

   • After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, which is approximately a 1-hour drive from Arusha. Enter the park through the main gate and start your game drive.
   • Explore the diverse ecosystems of Lake Manyara National Park, including the alkaline lake itself, dense forests, and open grassy plains. Keep an eye out for tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, and an abundance of birdlife.
   • Your afternoon is all about enjoying a picnic lunch at one of the designated spots within the park. Continue your game drive, exploring different areas of the park and maximizing your chances of encountering wildlife. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the hippo pools and observe these magnificent creatures up close.
   • Later in the afternoon, retreat from Lake Manyara National Park and return to Arusha for your departure.
