• Depart from Dar es Salaam at 08:30 am with a picnic lunch to Selous Game Reserve. The journey will take about 6 to 7 hours.

• Embark upon a  2 to 3-hour boat safari along the Rufiji River. The boat ride offers you the high chance to spot crocodiles, hippos and water birds at a short distance.

Dinner and overnight at Selous Kinga lodge.

• Enjoy early morning breakfast in the lodge and then depart for a full day game drive. 

Drive back to Selous Kinga Lodge for dinner and overnight. 

• Do a 2-3 hour morning walking safari in the bush accompanied by an armed ranger. Walking safari will give you a wonderful African wilderness experience. Sometimes you will find yourself walking next to Zebra, Giraffe, Monkey, and many other animals. This is also a good opportunity to identify different species of plants and birds. 

• Lunch in the lodge will be followed by an afternoon game drive to the oxbow lakes. During the dry season, these lakes shrink and offer a home to many animals, particularly elephants, hippos and buffaloes. A game drive is very magnificent along the lakes as animals can easily be spotted.

In the evening, drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

• Pack your luggage and start the journey of 5 hours back to Dar es Salaam.

• Drop off at the airport for your onward flight back home or to the hotel.
